Wow, Dave, the guy who was found alive after 18 hours and the water level being lowered, is a miracle story. Imagine how the one man felt after he said "no, the guy is surely dead". He must have looked like an ass. He almost killed that man. Thank God the one man had a heart and called his buddy at FEMA. What an amazing story. Great ending.

As to the frog boys case, was the witness ever questioned further as to his purpose for being in the area when the boys were there AND how is it the SK military never uncovered or came across the remains during their time in the area?

That's true scholarship honestly after your shipwrecked in the Sahara Desert debacle I am going to buy the vintage book. All of these Arctic tragedies in book form are quite expensive very worth it . The Franklin Expedition is arguably the most famous but it wasn't the starvation- every single account of early North America winter exploration kills everyone with scurvy . It's almost instantaneous a horrid way to die . Consider a story of the USS Janette from this time frame she got caught in solid ice drifted for two years over to Siberia ultimate tragedy . The source material is the two volume Janette story it's $500 pretty expansive but use the internet or paperback copies the lore of Arctic Exploration is the stuff of kings . 👑👑👑

Greely and his command accomplished their originally planned mission without any losses. What they had to do to survive afterwards was the government's responsibility. If you read the memoirs he cared a lot about his men. Several of the men under his command also stepped up to help the others again and again. Rice's death was a real tragedy, he died pushing himself beyond the limit to try and recover some old British rations. The men of this expedition deserved better than they got. Greely never publicly complained about how they were abandoned. He was a loyal soldier to the end.

Bro your videos are well made and super interesting but you gotta slow down and speak more clearly cuz from my pov you're chomping on a lot of words and rather fast at that so it's hard for me to follow and understand the story sometimes.

Starvation is one of the worst ways to go, and that's in a comfortable setting. I don't know that I've heard this one. I'm glad at least some of them survived, but is that really survival? that's some bad trauma. I don't blame them for the eating of the passed. Knowing Humans a bit, of course there were factions but we can never know how far it went. The Senate of the past has my anger, 3 Weeks- jeeze. We haven't changed as much as we think we have. It does sound like the team was pretty incompetent from the start.

@13:45 you start speaking at a good speed and your voice is clear. Before that it sounds like you're on 1.25 speed and about one in ten words are slurred (sometimes indecipherably so). The speed and clarity is good for about 10 seconds then you speed up again and start slurring words again. You should record your vids at that slower pace.

I'm sure he knew that the employees would sometimes stay until he came out either because they told him or he got out and saw them so "faking" his death seems unlikely. Plus it's not that easy to start a new life. It would require planning, resources and time so why map the cave if the whole point was just to start your life over? The "wrong" air was most likely staged there for his exit where the composition wouldn't matter as much since he would rapidly be ascending to a safe decompression point. It certainly suggests diving to depths and lengths of time that would require additional oxygen so isnt it likely he was going past the edges of his map? I mean the whole point of mapping it is to keep going to new parts. Then factor in the number of places where water from the cave exited...streams, swamps, rivers...so he could have been swept out and taken down a river while they were still searching the initial cave. Or he's just in a deeper part of the cave. Ed only went 200 feet past the edges of the map. Odds are Ben was as far into the cave as Ed went...the chief difference being Ed got out alive so Ed thinking Ben couldnt do it isnt factoring in that...he didnt do it successfully.

If you are a true fan of this channel, I think at least one of you should go caving or diving or 4 of you a month. Take no gear, ignore warnings, don't let anyone know where you are going, add 50 to your actual dive or cave tally/score. Like the man says, dive and cave disasters are getting more and more difficult to find. Represent! 🤣🤣👍

Last one… She does clarify that this is how she feels when he chokes her. He has also been a violent progress. This is a two sided situation. It is obvious from her slurring her words that shewas drunk, so she definitely did not realize it was so serious, but all the times he kicked her door in and attacked her and choked her. He was sober. If she didn’t kill him, he would have killed her.
