Great video. How comes you don’t dip before putting into your main tank? Exciting to hear you are heading to the UK, AAC are brilliant.

I was in the store for the first time a few weeks ago with the whole family. I'm new to the hobby. I believe it was Matt that helped me out. He was awesome. I picked up a few zoa frags. When we left my hole family agreed that he looks like Mitch Marner. Lol

Coralfish12g/George did a really cool special in Colombia some time ago. Apparently reefing hobby is illegal in colombia, so there is a thriving black market with hobbyists up there, was cool to see one of the big players their coralfarm 😊

@Fragbox Corals hey March, one thing. That damage on the cynarina might be burrowing clams or gall crabs, keep a close eye on it. Also, most of those corals aren't easy to keep, you're just so good at it. Also need your help, i have a wild aussie favia colony that has ~10 heads, wasn't doing too good for the first week so I moved it to a higher flow spot, may have been too rough with it and I may have gotten a tiny bit of coral glue on it, do you think it will surrvive? Also used to have burrowing clams in it and I have had it for a week. Also when do you think it's an appropriate time to add lobos? My tank is 7 months old and for 6 of those months there was nothing in it, has a good pop population but there isn't much algae on the rocks yet, the parameters are stable.

I see you talk about hammer and torch touching each other, I also think it fine but i also notice that indo and aussie torch will have a hard time touching each other

When covid hit i had same, watching youtube daily. Am allready a scubadiver and allways dreamed of a reeftank. First nano is thriving, now dreaming on my next dreamtank. Dont wish, just do! It doesnt have to be super expensive, but it aint a cheap hobby though. But its a hobby you keep learning from!

Pearl coral? Haven't seen one of those for years
@nickm992210 ай бұрын
Physogyra Liechtensteini, in case you want your LFS to order one 😊 The "normal" bubble coral is Plerogyra Sinuosa😊 LFS/distributors do sorta often name the pearly one as the normal bubbel though. Found myself a nice 8cm piece this way some years ago, felt like i was scamming the LFS as they misnamed it (and mispriced 😅)

Nice! I had fresh water many years ago, always wanted salt, but always being told I needed a big tank and it costs $$$$… I finally pulled the trigger last year with a studio 12g and after running for 8months now things are pretty stable and looking good, will be lps dominant, only have cuc and a yellow clown goby in it so it’s mostly all about the corals 🥰🍻

Its because life came from the ocean so the things in fresh water tanks are far simpler than what you can have in a reef tank we create both ecosystems but the reef one has too many colors to not appeal to every human the saltwater is too advanced for a 9 year old so we get frogs , guppies etc then when were in highschool and college we get salt at least that's what happened to me
@natalipierson9810 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, i did fresh to salt to fresh 😅. Salt is too much work, money and time. After losing power and losing like $500 of corals and fish because the water cot lower than 20c for one night, i gave up. Got lots of algie and could not fix the problem. All my fresh survived Soooo yeah... that made the decision, haha.

So all these corals are wild and no quarantine?
@JakeDogg-RIP10 ай бұрын
They watch the corals in the store, if they quarantine all the corals that come in they would need a store 2-3 times the size and would need to increase prices accordingly 😉 as they are unboxing them they are also looking for things in the water or stuck to the corals that would indicate problem pests

You talk about your prices being super cheap but theyre basically on par with US prices ....well at least for wild stuff....that stuff is always gonna be cheap....comparing prices to US aqua culture facilities isnt really a fair comparison

Prices for corals are just out of control. Top Shelf aquatics for example is just ripping people off with their prices. It’s disgusting and very sad to see these vendors care more about money than the animals.
@fragboxcorals10 ай бұрын
Is it a rip off though if people keep buying them ?
@Botzz2810 ай бұрын
@@fragboxcorals unfortunately there are people that don’t know any better which is why they spend 2000$ on a one inch frag. TSA is absolutely taking advantage of everyone. It’s driving out so many people. There’s no reason why a coral needs to be 1000$ all because of a stupid nickname. I miss the old days of reefing. I went to Reefapalooza NY and spent literally 20 minutes and left that’s how bad it was. They are destroying the hobby.
