He is unique as shit in general, I have never seen any other gacha game make a western themed character and I have played quite a few before HSR. You figure it would be a wide open design space for a an anime influenced cowboy but I guess not. Kafka, BS, Acheron, Hanya, Natasha, Yukong and Serval have for example the exact same base Model. Same goes for all the other characters in the game. After noticing this I sadly can't overlook it anymore :/ (like use two of the units mentioned above in the same team, then run sideways and switch between them while running, nothing changes apart from clothes and hairstyle.. Or swap between them in character tab..)

Having worked with blender and unity (3d sclupting, avatar creation, rigging and animation), yes I would kinda expect something like that from a multi billion $ company. Changing small things in the idle pose, like limb orientation or changing character height, width and so on is really simple actually. Many other big studios can do it too.

it does help a bit with finishing off the first trash mob so it contributes marginally towards his ramp up time granted you end up killing the mob but if you lack the dmg to do so it's just a "trophy" stat

It's probably because of her animations. I didn't even care that Firefly's damage was "mid", it's not like she was doing Arlan levels of damage, I just really hoped they improved her animations. Her using swords during her ult feels unsatisfying, the slashes are boring, but I guess the explosion at the end is pretty cool. Other than that, for an extremely hyped character, she just has a lot of wasted potential. Her normal state may have less animated skills, but they feel much more raw and impactful than her enhanced state. They could've done something similar to her boss animations for her skill or ult, but instead they put it in her technique.

So, in summary of his kit Skill is a single target aggro only to be dispelled if you managed to kill the target or break their weakness. And also enhances his Basic attack from a kick to a gun His talent/passive has his own "super break" and his final dmg depends on his current stacks of Pocket Trickshot. Also increases his break efficiency. Combine that with Ruan Mei his break efficiency would be at 200% max. Luckily he doesnt need HMC necessarily Ultimate just gives the target enemy a Physical weakness. Break efficiency also affects by his Talent

My biggest turnoff from Boothill is his "ramp-up" time. He needs to break/kill enemies three times before he is at his full potential. If he's going up against (i) a single boss or (ii) enemies that shut off their weakness, it's a gg for him. It reminds me of Seele who relies on killing mobs or having insane quality relics to pop off.

Heya, just wanna pop in and say the thing that Guoba is probably not allowed to say yet which is DON'T PREFARM ARTIFACTS (other than planar) for Boothill! He is getting a signature set that focuses on his exact needs and it will make him significantly stronger than using any of the existing sets. So unless you want to use him on day 1 or something like that, skip the artifact farming for now and focus on his materials instead!

As it stand now, I'd go for Firefly. As of V3 she's an absolute monster. Don't sleep on Clara, either; her counters do a ton of damage once she's built.

I have the same issue with you. I only have Himeko for fire weak content and Clara for phys, and i want a break dps so i'm currently deciding between Boothill or Firefly... normally i would go with either i like more, but i like them both equally (rip) Also don't sleep on Clara, hypercarry her with Tingyun, Sustain (Lynx/March for aggro is cool), and RM or Pela for def shred, shes really good

So a good team for 0 cycling stuff is something along the lines of -1 bronya with robin and RM so he can move 4 times in 0 cycle allowing him to ramp up. I think sustainless is viable for him.
