One of my worst experience with Hilton. When I entered the front desk was nice and friendly. The front desk told me I have food credit at the restaurant so I decide to give it a try. The server was busy giving out number to other guests instead of serving guests. When I left the hotel I did not receive the charge details. I notice the charge on my credit card does not match what I recall. When I contact customer service they told me I do have credit. They told me they will provide me an answer then never did. As a Gold member I find it extremely irresponsible. Hilton made a mistake and refuse to take any responsibility. Do not stay at Hilton. You will feel awful. The room is dated. The service is bad. Hilton does not care about you even with Gold status.
@LukesPointsandMiles Жыл бұрын
I’ll be honest. That doesn’t exactly sound like the worst experience I’ve ever heard of. If I’m staying at a hotel and I know I’ll have charges from the hotel, I’ll always check out in person. A waiter being preoccupied with flirting doesn’t doesn’t like an entire hotel chains fault. Can you tell me exactly which hotel this was?

@LukesPointsandMiles2 жыл бұрын
The $250 resort credit is activated when you book and stay at one of the resorts. It’s fairly straight forward. It can be used for anything. Pay for the room, dinner, any resort fees. It’s the easiest credit in the game. That’s why it’s so popular. The only thing you have to do is remember to stay at a property qualified as a resort.

We purchased Hilton Grand Vacation Club in Feb (off Ebay), and loved our first stay. I would place it in Upper Upscale, similar to Hilton. Hilton recently acquired Diamond Resorts, and are transitioning them into a new branding, Hilton Vacation Club. I'm a Diamond Member and mostly stay overseas I really enjoy the executive lounge with free cocktails snacks and free buffet for 2 people every morning. Plus I get a discount for extra guests.. Extra bed is also free. Really enjoy the free upgrade. Hilton always puts me in a one bedroom deluxe premium suite for free. The American Express Hilton Honors Business card is so worth it. I became a Diamond Member because I spend 40k plus in a year on my card. It's not always about how many nights you stay but also how much you spend on your card with everyday purchases. You can also buy rewards points to get that fifth night free plus they match you on points when you buy points. I love Hilton Hotels. I used to work for Portland Hilton in high school and have remained a loyal customer for 40 years now. Hilton is the biggest Hotel chain and I highly recommend Hilton. For 2022 I have had 15 free nights and still have more coming. Thank you American Express and Hilton Hotels. Love the program. Best ever!!!!

I use Hilton and Wyndham apps. I travel to Corpus Christy, Laredo, Brownsville, McAllen, and Odessa on a monthly/Bimonthly basis and all of the Baymont, Hampton, or anything else in this price range usually forgets the member check in water and/or snack. Its small but its something after working all day away from home. I guess you have to stay at the $220+ a night rooms to warrant a cookie and water bottle. I'm currently at one of the Hampton Inn and Suites in Corpus Christi. After the third attempt to open my room on the second floor I was handed another key and told "If it doesn't work call me and I'll find the device to open the room or we can try to find another for you." This was after they were one of the FEW hotels to offer room temp water bottles from a Costco bag. Tonight, after I put them in the refrigerator, I'll have some cold waters for the trip home. Thanks Hilton

Here is a fun little question, I am an airline employee and aiming at mostly cash back cards. The surpass hits just about all the right marks for me so compare; blue cash preferred or Hilton surpass, given that I travel 8-16 times ‘seriously’ a year. I may travel a lot more but not really book stays a fraction as much. They both have similar categories and same annual fee, but I get the sense that this might garner more mileage that the blue cash preferred… you tell me.
@LukesPointsandMiles2 жыл бұрын
I think they’re both really great cards. I can’t tell you which card would be better for you though. The BCP preferred’s faults are the $6k cap on groceries (for me that makes is about half of what I need) and it’s Not exactly a cash back card. It earns statement credit.
