haha. that is how Chalemet's name is meant to be pronounced though, it's not "Timothy"

i love their exaggerations, mispronunciations, and straight up name changes lol; i think my favorite is segovia weaver instead of sigourney 🤣💕 and yes, timmy’s name is french! correctly pronounced “tim-oo-tay”. sounds much better when someone with the correct accent says it though lol.

Every time Nick introduces the movie at the beginning in such a dramatic way I get a kick out of it. 😂

@LernerMara I love Nick's openings and his quirky pronunciations. And Joseph's loves it too - his grin says it.

Sadly this will 100 percent get Oscar nods. The combo of boomer nostalgia and a young cast means it can’t lose. What better film will it push out is the only question.

Great review. I was one of the women that chatted with you (Nick) after the screening. This film is good but mostly nostalgia porn for an older audience. Not sure if it was totally necessary because I’m Not There did a better job as a Dylan biopic but it will get Timothy an Oscar nom if not a win.

I want to see this movie. When I saw the trailer, I got chills but that might be because I'm 73. Whenever I hear Pete Seeger's name, I immediately think of "If you miss me at the back of the bus."

Being a colossal fan of Dylan's since childhood (thanks Dad), I am scared. Edit: I feel better now. Thank you. Also, if you have the chance to see him live, bc he's pretty up there, it's worth it.

This is also James Mangold's second biopic after Walk The Line. Do you wanna know what other film came out on Christmas Day Kate and Leopold which was also directed by James Mangold.

I'm a fan of timothee but haven't liked everything he's been in.... The trailer seems boring. I might still check it out, depending on the reviews.
@kellyrob4296Күн бұрын
My fave portrayal was Heath Ledger in I’m Not There. I’m willing to bet that film was better than this one is gonna be. I did like Walk The Line though. That one was a family favorite and my son & I used to sing a duet from it so it’s very nostalgic. Johnny Cash was someone we all loved -Bob Dylan, not so much. I will see the film though (lookin forward to Boyd Holbrook as JC, lol!). Thanx, guys!♥️🎶

Poetry put to music and I liked Diamonds and Rust lyrics ... But Bob Dylan? I recognize him but not like I do, maybe Elton John - perhaps not curious enough either 😉

Nick I'm from Missouri. However throughout the years I have interacted with several people from Minnesota. Although I hate to do blanket stereotypes sometimes it applies. People from Minnesota, no matter their political beliefs, social class, rural or urban, etc., are so close minded and not open to "outsiders." Certainly you are probably happy to not be living there anymore and putting up with fake Minnesota Nice.

I think Chalamet just doesn't have the hard edge that I think Dylan needs, this actor just doesn't sell me on understanding suffering, ever.

Timo should work on his acting properly before getting involved in more movies... Just because you have a fan base and the movies you play in sells alot of tickets; don't mean you are a good actor...

Maybe you should watch his movies before writing something like that?

@АлексЗ-й4и I just checked, I saw 10 of his movies... I have suffered 9 of them. Only one of his performance was good. I respect if you find his performances decent but personally I do not...
