Remember when the original modern warfare had an entire background plot of an ultranationalist coup in Russia that ended up succeeding forming the necessary basis for Makarov to manipulate the existing conflicts to galvanize either end of a conflict leading to World War 3. Does he actually accomplish anything here? Like yeah he killed detergent, but he also killed his own men. what makes him THE villain here? It just feels like a nostalgia bait excuse to say they had a campaign because they are contractually obligated to have one.

I feel like a good way for the open combat missions to work would have been to take heavy inspiration from black ops 2. They already had the offensive minded strike force missions, which allowed you to choose your routes and how you approached the enemy, as well as the custom load out in the main campaign. Combine this with new access kit options, like a vehicle caller or a disguise kit, and they would be doing great. Then, all they would need is a passable stealth system and actually unique maps.

They're just trying to capitalize on the popularity of games like PUBG and Fortnite, and it's been overdone to death at this point. Has anyone else noticed that this game follows a CIA Task Force under the command of a US General, composed of Tier 1 SAS/SBS/SO15 Operators who are British and Scottish, and Originally there was 1 former Delta turned CIA SAD Operator who went AWOL to become a freedom fighter, blew himself up, got a high grade military operations prosthetic (and apparently some hair dye why is Alexes hair all of a sudden dark brown) and then was just welcomed back on the team? Like isn't it weird that the US is basically running a team of operators composed of member from only other countries and legitimate rouge agents?

In the og trilogy, well in MW2 before the betrayal TF141 was a multinational task force comprised of mostly NATO aligned Tier 1 special forces (I.e SAS, SASR, JTF2 and various special forces units from the branches of the US Military)

Killing Soap... AGAIN broke my heart. Not just because he died, but also because the way he died, like, Makarow just shoots him, no fight, no strugle, no epic anything at all, he just gets shot like some random solider/person. The peoples on the plane got more depth to their death despite being just simple assests in the game and not a "hero". Cheap way to try to make the player feel bad. Bet they thought since it worked in the fitst MW 3 it is gonna work now, but I am not sure if they remembered more than he getting killed. His character was built up and had a major role in the story. Also his death actually brought the plot forward and it was emotional. When I heard the usually tough and confident (maybe also cold) Price just... crying ("No, no no no!") above his dead friend, It felt emotional, you could feel the pain of Price, and also the whole mission which built it up was a proper way to say goodbye to a hero. Here he just dies and game ends. Tbh, I hope they could just deny the existance of the game or at least make the plot a fewer dream (thus non-canon) Price had when he wakes up in the next one, as this was just shit.

Listen a good AC130 mission is like a nice walk in the garden, picking flowers, and having a bee gently land on the flower you're holding after screaming, kicking, shooting, and running through an urban hellscape. Even if Call of Duty Vanguard had a laughably Bad Singleplayer Campaign at least it was fun and felt like a Call of Duty Campaign and had actual soundtracks and Setpieces and even a Satisfactory Ending where you actually kill the villain. I was happy with Vanguard's Ending because it was laughably Bad,didn't take itself seriously and most importantly it wasn't a sequel or had any Returning Character but MW3 is fucking Boring,No Setpieces,No Soundtracks ,No Progress,No Middle and No Ending at all. There is no story or plot I was left Disappointed, Dissatisfied and felt so empty inside myself and why is Sledgehammer Games making a Campaign for an Infinity Ward Game????? Pls tell anyone 😞

Price killed Shepard because Shepard stopped them from confirming Makarov’s death which ultimately led to Soaps. Had they pinned him down in the burning building, Makarov probably would’ve been dealt with already
