A guide to grillers would be helpful to have up. I have had too many teams where I lead the griller around the correct places and the crew is standing in an ok spot but either isn't trying to hit the griller or is assuming and failing because the fish sticking out the back is a bit finicky to hit with some weapons. (My first few times encountering it I couldn't seem to find the right spot to aim at but I figured it out. I can only imagine what trouble players might be having if they aren't as quick to pick things up as others.)

A trick with Grillers is that once enough eggs are on the ground to meet the quota players targeted by Grillers should start leading the remaining Grillers away so their teammates can gather the eggs without the risk of the 1-shot kill Grillers running them over as most of the golden eggs will be in one area and might be covered by Grillers so leading them away is important, also there can only be a maximum of 2 Grillers at one time. Just as an example, I had a Griller wave on Gone Fission Hydroplant where we had plenty of golden eggs on the ground but the targeted players just kept jumping back and forth on the left side making the Grillers move back and forth over the golden eggs making it impossible to get them, essentially targeted players shouldn't focus on collecting golden eggs but rather properly manipulating the Grillers movement, both exposing their weak spot but also leading them away when necessary.

Adding in a little tip. When there is high tide, keeping ground is crucial. So if you are the only one left or there are a lot of bosses around the egg basket and you have booyah bomb. Use it at the basket. It can clear a whole lot of salmonids and revive some/all teammates with the addition of a lot of eggs around the basket.

Hey Hazmy. Love the effort you're doing to these SR guides. Just subscribed. I just want to suggest some new guide video ideas. Stuff like how to efficiently put eggs in a basket through various scenarios (below a ledge, squid roll or not, throw or not, passing the eggs etc) And also one other thing. I feel players vastly overlook how friendly fire blocks your projectiles. People think they're shooting but instead their teammates are blocking those shots instead

Only moments in the video here but this reminds me of cheesing the enemy AI in games back in the 90's because path finding was newish back then. By staying near the basket you are reducing the salmonids path to two points here which can be easily defended depending on weapons in rotation and difficulty. When I first realized how to cheese glowflies on Marooners I only stayed on the platform in general and didn't know about staying to the right most side (still being near the basket definitely helped). What I did when I got the glowflies is positioned myself behind the team, often near the bow of the ship (it is the bow right?) And this did work to a point. Now I know this and hope to cheese glowflies even harder! Cheers for all the help!! :)

Aww I wish this video came earlier lol would of been nice to show the EVP freelancers how to do glowflies. All 3 teamates died in 5 seconds, run wiped instantly cause the 3 ppl decided to try to wall cling in that gap in front of the basket -___- insta death. Using 'this way' was useless ugh

My tip is never judge a team of randoms on a first wave Griller or Glowfly loss unless they break formation constantly or do something like block egg collecting with their movement or try to splat the rush too early/far away. If you lose with like one egg or they were doing pretty good against the wave until one critical player got splatted, then it's a good team, grillers and glowflies are just a pain in the butt.

Another problem is on mid tide on this map. If you just hold back, there's actually too few goldies spawning to meet the quota! Had it happen once, team never even got close to being wiped but when there's that few golden eggs does that even matter...

Great guide! I've been wondering though: is there any reason to stand close to the grating as the salmonid approach? To me I always thought standing directly in front of the grate would make collecting the golden eggs more difficult as not only do you have to fight back the rush wave to get further back eggs, but you also have more limited mobility as you can't squid swim on the grate. This would be especially bad where it's high tide and accidentally swimming in the grate would drown you. So I've been wondering if there's a reason people stand right at the grate? I'm asking because I can't really tell people to stand further back in freelance and I always just do what the team does to win the wave. Appretiate your efforts and dedication as always!

Yeah the 2 main issues with grillers and glowflies is that there’s no breathing room to collect eggs and get back into position.

The main issue I have with Glowflies on Marooner's bay are the eggs dropping to the lower level or clipping into the basket and being too high to reach.

I think Big Swig is even better than Dynamo for glowflies. You don't really run out of ink and if you flick your stick horizontally you can even take out the Goldies while rolling without getting pushed back much. And if you make a mistake or go into squid form to recharge you don't have to wait 3 years to roll again with the faster horizontal attack

I don't think people know where to stand for Grillers on Marooner's Bay, and Grillers *or* Glowflies on Gone Fission. Today in Gone Fission, I actually end up in a "this way" disagreement with another player on where to stand for Grillers. I want to be on the corner *without* a bridge because 1) grillers have to go down the ramp to get the other side of the gap, buying some time if you jump between them and 2) you'll see them coming no matter where they spawn. On the corner *with* the bridge, they can spawn at the shore and come up the ramp without being seen, immediately bulldozing whoever's standing there.

Last time I had Glowflies on Marooner’s Bay, our Dynamo Roller stood so far back that the chums came from both sides. Three members of my team were fighting one side, while I, our Splattershot, had to cover half of the chums by myself. We lost. Don’t do that.
