I owned 8 top brand strollers before trying Bugaboo and I never went back. I had the Buffalo (reaplaced by the Fox) followed by a Donkey and would never get anything else ever again. I never had anything break or squeak or deteriorate. Sturdy, maneuverable, high quality design and engineering and totally worth the money.

I have to baby zen yoyo and I loved it! I used it as my primary stroller from newborn stage “don’t really recommend the newborn attachment” they will outgrow that pretty fast. But the 6 month + highly recommend!! My family travels quite frequently having this was amazing and so convenient. Doesn’t do great on rough terrain true but went through plenty of cobblestone roads in London and it held up fine, my daughter is quite tall and used it on a recent trip she is three years old but probably is the last time she is definitely outgrowing it! Let’s just say I’ve put the stroller through over 30+ airports and many many miles and it is still in great shape I am surprised too!

I have a Graco click and connect, and yes, the large wheels make a huge huge difference. I used to think that wheel size doesn’t make much difference, but I now hate trying to maneuver strollers that have small wheels. Go for the bigger ones!

From the video it feels like you really prefer the bigger, more robust (bigger wheels etc.) I had two and had to sell them....the thing is as most moms I know, I have to do everything alone with a baby in my arm, lift the buggy into the car, carry it up the stairs atc. Pushing a 12+ kg stroller makes my arms hurt, there’s no time to take off and on wheels for us. Maybe they look or feel better but they are just not worth the daily hustle for most moms out there. Also a big thing I want to point out is the reversible seat, It’s simply hard and emotional to not see your baby, when we changed our stroller at 7 months at a forward facing one it was difficult for mom and dad too. I talked to other moms on a daily who decide not to do it even though moving the stroller around would be easier because of that one factor. Just a few things to consider, after all moms use strollers the most so thus that they should be made for us users

he is speaking from a pov of someone living in Norway. We have cracked pavements and lots of snow, ice and slush. We need something sturdy, thats just the facts. A lot cant afford a car here either, its too expensive. Or they use it rarely to save some cash. Then folding doesnt really matter. Those who do have a car often have a big daily use stroller and a small one for use with the car

Same, I live in a beach town in Mexico, so I can’t imagine having to put my baby in a car that has been sitting in the scorching sun while I struggle to fold and take the wheels off of a stroller. I also find the reversible seat important to me because older people here like to pinch small kid’s cheeks and play with them (it’s cultural, I understand, but I’ve never been a fan even when I grew up here).

Hi! Thank you for this amazing video and the work you do! We had Emmaljunga Super Viking with our first child and I really loved it, the downside was that it's very clumsy and heaving for getting it in and out of the car, we have a Skoda superb so we had no problems getting the stroller in size wise, it was just very heavy, so we changed it to Britax Go Big2, which is a great stroller as well, but I do really miss the air wheels, they do a lot. So now for the second child that we're expecting we we're thinking of getting Babyjogger GT2 Double to have as an extra stroller when we're out and about with both children and then a somewhat smaller stroller to have when I'm alone with one child, and we've been looking into Emmaljunga NXT60F with air wheels. Because we live in a "small" city in Sweden and have a small elevator we need a more of a city stroller but that could also handle the Swedish winters (when we do have them) and the country side roads. But I'm not sure if this is the best solution, I know about Donkey2/3 but I'm not completly sold on it and we cannot fit a big stroller in our elevator, even though it ticks a lot of the practical boxes. I'm wondering though if you have any experience with NXT60F and what your views are on it? Or do you have any other example of strollers that has air wheels, fully inclined seat unit, can handle the Swedish winters and countryside but also works well in a city and for cars? Kind regards, Donna

@BarnevognverkstedNo 4 жыл бұрын
Hi, Glad you like our videos :) All of the NXT models are quite good, and the 60 is probably the best ballance between size and performance (though I like the 90 best, myself). As far as a double stroller goes, if you're willing to pay the high price for the Donkey, then it is the best option for all the things you're talking about (and we're based in Oslo, so same terrain and same winters). The Donkey was designed alongside the Bugaboo Buffalo, which is one of my favorite strollers for our conditions, and offers great drivability while still being light-weight and capable of collapsing down to the size of a single stroller. It's main negative is that it's many hinged and collapsing points means it has a tendency to get loose after a few years, which can affect resale, 4-5 years on, when you're done using it. The GT2 Double is nice as well, but I find that the loss of 12 inch wheels is not always worth it, especially in the winter, so if you're looking for something more in this style, I would go with a TFK model even though they're a bit heavy.

So pleased I found your channel. I’m hoping you could give me some advice. We’re expecting baby number 2 and already have the silver cross sleepover from when our now 5 year old was little. We’re happy to keep this but I’m looking for an additional stroller that we can also use regularly from birth to toddler, preferably folds with the seat unit attached but is still comfortable for baby. We’ve been looking at the Stokke Beat and the Mamas and Papas Sola2 but the lack of suspension concerns me.

I love your reviews and this channel! I stumbled across this in my search for a stroller that I can face baby. I am a little stuck with information overload though. We're looking at strollers that can handle our local sidewalks. There are many steps and I feel like our baby is one jostle away from popping out of our Chicco bravo stroller every time we go up or down a crosswalk. The other conflicting criteria we have though is we are looking for a light weight/compact stroller with an easy fold for two reasons: we still rely on our car for daily use, and visiting grandparents need to be able to handle steps + stroller that isn't too complicated to fold. We've tried out the Donkey mono - and found it to be too wide, and the Fox is great but seems so expensive for something that will likely break in a few years based on your reviews. It also takes up all of our trunk. Any other strollers we should look at or consider? What are your thoughts on the Bumbleride Era?
@BarnevognverkstedNo
@BarnevognverkstedNo 4 жыл бұрын
Is there any flexibility for you regarding the reverse-facing? Because given the rest of what you say, the Babyjogger City Elite (or even the City GT Mini) would be a pretty perfect fit. Otherwise, the mix of terrain-capability on one hand and small / not too expensive on the other is hard with the current market :)

@@BarnevognverkstedNo Unfortunately the reverse-facing feature is the reason why we were looking at other strollers in the first place. If we take price out of the equation what options does that give us? p.s. this is now the wife speaking :)

Given the current market, I would wait for the Bugaboo Lynx to launch (especially if your baby is older than 6 months and you've moved on to the seat unit). It's meant to be a cheaper version of the Fox and they've removed the double-fold activation mechanisms and the flipflop-friendly brake, thus most likely reducing the internal complexity of these systems. :)

Hei, thanks for great videos!!! It would be very interesting to hear your opinion and/or review of ABC design Salsa 4 Air (the new diamond edition with 24 cm front wheels). We live in Norway and thinking about this model as it is not so heavy, is easy to fold, has sports seat with lie-flat position and suitable up to 22 kg (can be mounted in both directions), nice suspension and big wheels for all types of roads. It looks a bit stronger, higher, less loose and cheaper than Cybex Priam, but not as heavy and hard to fold as Emmaljunga NXT90. Also, Besafe, Cybex and other car seats can be mounted on chassis. But we didn’t have opportunity to see this stroller in real life, so it is very interesting to hear your opinion, if possible. Thanks again for good content here!

I know you prefer side by side strollers, but I live in an apartment complex, the doors to the apartments are quite slim. Only 75 cm, which stroller would you recomend for such conditions? Folding the stroller before going inside each time seems like a bit of a hassle since we use the stroller to keeep our grocieries etc when we go shopping. We live in the city, take public transportation and dont use a car. We do however not have a lot of storage space so a double stroller would either have to fold small (to be kept out of the way when Im just using a single stroller for the baby) or be a double that turns into a single. I can also add that our daycare is right outside and our toddler no longer naps in the stroller, so recline for him isnt that important

@BarnevognverkstedNo 4 жыл бұрын
By forward-facing adjustable, do you mean you're ok with forward-facing only? If so, then the best stroller for our conditions here in Oslo is the Babyjogger City Elite, hands-down. If you meant that you need reverse-facing, then I would recommend going for one of the following: Stokke Trailz (needs to be produced within the last year or so, as it needs to have the new-type front wheels), Emmaljunga NXT90, or if you want to go lighter, then the Bugaboo Fox is good too in it's own way. If you're buying used (as in, no guaruntee anyway), then also keep your eye out for a Bugaboo Buffalo in good condition - there's a reason you still see them everywhere. :)

As a stroller repairman for around a decade, I've just seen too much damage caused to the rear frame and central locking mechanisms of strollers as a result of buggy boards. From the point of view of preserving the mechanical integrity of your stroller, I sort of wish that both buggy boards, and handle-mounted carrying hooks, had never been invented :) A double stroller is, thus, in my opinion, definitely a better option.

Hi. Love your video. I live in Norway and baby is coming in winter. We live on the 2nd floor w/o lift. Have to be taking it up and down(vice versa) everytime we come and go. We don't have a car too so we need one robust, light but tolerate the cold outside and easy to drive on the snow and ice. We would love to have one we can also use on different terrain, specially on the heavy roads up to the mountains with the walking path as we love having nature tours. After reading a bit, it seems like Bugaboo fox, buffalo and uppababy vista (maybe even britax smile 2/3) is the best choice we have. What do you recommend though between this choises? Also if there is any other earlier model you mean is good aside from this would be lovely to hear. Thank you in advance ❤❤❤

Thanks :) Glad you like our videos. I personally think the Babyjogger City Elite is best for these conditions, but the seat is forward-facing only, so not everybody likes it. For reversible seat models, the Buffalo works for your offroad needs (but out of production, so you would need to find a used model in good condition) and the Emmaljunga NXT90 is good too (but a little heavy). The Stokke Trailz and Uppababy Vista are also good, but one step down for terrain capability from these others. The Fox is also great, but only for lighter Norwegian terrain.

Would you suggest someone buying a 2nd hand (but not too old) bugaboo buffalo or try the fox? For general use, some dirt/grass eg parks and botanical gardens etc, mostly tarred/concreteroads, sidewalks malls etc. Bugaboo's will run me $2000 new here in Australia and i don't want to risk buying something that will only really be useful for a yr or 2 before all hell breaks loose in the mechanics of it. I love the squarer style of bugaboo's though and it seems most other brands have gone with an egg shape canopy these days.

I haven't actually seen the wave in reality, since it's not sold here in Norway, but I don't have a lot of faith in Silver Cross generally. My personal preference for 2-child strollers is the Donkey (side-by-side gives a more stable footprint) or a TFK if your environment is a bit rugged. When you're thinking about trunk space, a two child stroller is going to fill it up regardless of whether its in-line or side-by-side anyway. :)

Thanks :) Glad you like our videos. We'll be doing the Nano in near future. Older Mountain Buggys are awesome, newer ones, unfortunately, aren't ussually as good, because, at least with their main-line models, they swapped out all that beautiful sturdy simplicity, for much more breakable, complex, multi-part plastic mechanisms. Not sure to what extent this applies to the Nano, but we'll go over it in the review :)

Wow. Great video and info but now am seconding guessing my choice between cameleon and bee. Am trying to find a unicorn - daily stroller that is light weight to lift up and down stairs by someone with a shoulder injury that can take cobblestones and be used from baby and store easily... We live in Belgium - cobblestones, no car, public transit, lots of public stairs and limited accessibility but at least no snow..lol. We use the train a lot. I thought cameleon or bee but now am seconding guessing this after your reviews...

Hi! I own a babyjogger city elite which I adore, its good on snow easy to fold, folds small (I need to store it in a storage Room downstairs since I live in the 4th floor, it leaves more Room for other things), can handle all the uneven pavement and dirt roads and gravel around where I live as well as city use. It can go from newborn to all when you're done using a stroller, and its quite cheap Even new yet sturdy. However, Ive thought of something, why doesnt any mainstream brands make three wheelers with reversible seat units? Ive seen North jogger maxi 13.5 do this, but Its a low quality stroller (in my opninion having looked at one) and the seat is so small it wont last you long. Why dosnt babyjogger for example make a stroller with a premier seat and an elite chassis?

@BarnevognverkstedNo 5 жыл бұрын
Right on. There are a lot of similar strollers, but so far the Yoyo+ is still my favorite (Babyjogger city tour 2 is runner-up). The Yoyo+ is pretty durable, but I would steer clear of cobblestones as much as possible. I would eventually recommend something a little bigger: to preserve the Yoyo+ from the wear of daily use, to accomodate your child comfortably after around age 2, and because most people need a bit more suspension and terrain capability than they think at first. But try out the Yoyo+, it's a great stroller to have regardless of whether you eventually get something else as well, and it tends to preserve a lot of its value on the secondary market as well. Best of luck with your new baby :)

there's a strong suburban, big car user bias in these opinions. for any mom living in a city with a smaller trunk, the BIGGEST possible size stroller is most definitely NOT the best option.

Very informative! You mispronounced chassis though (CHASS-ee)

Thanks. I know. I've been told this before, but I think I've been doing it for too long, and I can't quite wrap my tongue around pronouncing it the correct way. Who knows, maybe it's my lot to contribute towards a shift in common pronunciation. @@BarnevognverkstedNo Here's another one: the Emmaljunga make is pronounced "Emma-young-a" . A Swedish thing, the L in LJ is silent, like the silent K in Knife. thanks for the great videos!

Just wondering, why are you so opposed to the sibling ride-on board for the Yoyo?
@BarnevognverkstedNo
@BarnevognverkstedNo 3 жыл бұрын
The weight of a child riding on a sibling board over time really decreases the longevity of all strollers, but with a lightweight model like the Yoyo it's even worse. The predominant areas that wear down faster are: rear axles, ball.bearings, and the connection points between various frames and bars on the overall chassis.
