SPOILER ALERT IF YOU"RE ONE OF THOSE FOOLS WHO LIKE TO READ BEFORE LISTENING!!! Wow, that letter at the end surely had to have been penned by the murderer. That's astounding. I was stunned too that it took as long as it did for judges in modern times to make their decision as to the miscarriage of justice, given the apparent clarity of it being so. Had they not, my already very frail faith in our Australian justice system would have been totally annihilated. I speculate that the insistence of the police in the 20s that they had their guilty man was due to being under immense pressure to solve the case and therefore, had they accepted that their man was not the guilty party, they'd have been left with no-one which was presumably not an acceptable outcome. It always baffles me that ppl seem content to simply ignore the elephant in the room and hang an innocent man so that they can file their case. Nobody seems to care that a murderer is still out there. SMH. The 1920s police on that investigation can't all have been so inept and I'm certain many of them would have been left with a lifetime of sleepless nights over it. Doesn't make it any less disgraceful; it's just my opinion. I'm in awe of the man who decided to dedicate years of his life to seeking truth for the family of Colin. That's impressive beyond words. Ppl with his level of integrity are sorely needed in our modern communities. EDIT: I didn't realise there was a Pt 1 to this, and have now listened to that too, after Pt 2.

Honestly being wrongly accused of something so heinous and convicted of it because the police have decided to tunnel vision on you is an absolutely terrifying thought. Add in the death penaltu and thats a full blown waking nightmare.

The "witnesses" who condemned Ross by making those statements just makes my blood boil. It seems like the public put pressure on the authorities to solve it, so a lot of exonerating evidence was disregarded, just to save face and file it away. It's a shame that even today, this still happens, and makes you wonder how many innocent people have been jailed or executed that we don't know about. It wouldn't surprise me if there were at least one case covered where the accused is actually innocent.
