The colours are so rich in these old movies - beautiful sets …

Probably because of the use of Technicolor. Today's movies don't have the vivid and bright colors the way they used to have. Also, I would imagine a lot of movies today are made with HD video and not with actual film. So yes, there is definitely a noticeable difference between some of the older movies versus today's movies.

We will say nothing about the year being 528 AD and the knight's armour dating rather from 1300 AD (give or take a century).

@@kcunning Maybe there is a reason if you see the whole movie but neither do I see the need for a knight to ride around in full battle or tournament gear outside of these events.

Also Britain didn't exist for another 1200 years or so 😁. EDIT: Saying that, netiher did England until around 900AD.

@@masti733 Wikipedia : The term Great Britain was first used officially in 1474, in the instrument drawing up the proposal for a marriage between Cecily the daughter of Edward IV of England, and James the son of James III of Scotland, which described it as "this Nobill Isle, callit Gret Britanee".

Its weird how little we knew of medieval times back then. Where everything was so inaccurate.

Just got reading the book. Robert Downey Jr would be great as the lead. Maybe Jude Law or Paul Bettany could play King Arthur.. Heh
