There are super weird details about this too, from the kids at Plum Blossom mentioning their parents, as well as in the Christmas event, to Shun having a little sister, like a SIGNIFICANTLY little sister (11 to 18), meaning her 'parents' had Kokona way later. Momoi and Midori are twins, too. Also, Nonomi's student profile mentions that she comes from a wealthy family. Hell, even Atsuko has a family, since she's royalty to the Arius district, and I'm pretty sure Beatrice says something about Atsuko's mother Ruling Arius before her. (I think she specifically said 'descendant' idk, point still stands)

It's less of a plot hole and more so just not expanded much (so far) as it's not as important for the narrative. We know outside world exists, since Sensei is from outside (a location name is given in teaser PV) as well as Gematria members. Outside of these exceptions, all other adults in Kivotos are animal people and androids/robots (from what we see), we have Mika showing surprise in V3 that Sensei is not that different from students (probably implying that they are more human than the adults in Kivotos). In V1 we hear that some students from Abydos simply dropped out and left Kivotos. In V3 we learn that Arius student council is/was led by students from certain bloodline/family, implying there are parents. In Ivan Kupala we have the mention of a student potentially going to visit family for holidays (the one you heard of). Other than that we know nothing about outside world. Will we learn tidbits of information as the story goes on? Most likely. Will we ever meet other human adults, including previous graduates (other than certain antagonists/villains)? Most likely not since the story is focused on and limited to Kivotos.

All the girls are AIs. They are trained in simulated world for war applications. But IRL incidents cause these AIs not to be used, hence archived. President went "outside" to solve the IRL issues, while Sensei is likely an uploaded consciousness of real world person in charge of the archive, but lost memories due to reasons.

Volume F and Shiroko's irreversible transformation into her Terror form show that the students are not human beings or anything that can be explained using human logic. The whole thing with the parents also seems to be fabricated. Take Shiroko for example in Blue Archive's OP. We see a well ordered house which would hint she has relatives living with her but we know it's not true.

The truth is, it would feel weird playing the game with one hand knowing there's another male human character in the game that could canonically NTR the Sensei. So far we know they have the concept of inheritance and guardians, but it seems like not every student has that kind of thing, for example hina never mentions any parental figure despite how well it would fit for her to have someone to make her feel like she has to give it her all. My theory is that their origins aint always the same, some prob are created from scratch, others maybe with some sort of selective "breeding", some may even be "biorobots" or something like that. And well think about it this way, a city by the students for the students, working human adults shouldn't exist there, its worth mentioning that Gematria guys aint able to manifest naturally in kivotos, Beatrice is the exception but iirc she was made with a student so shes not exactly an outsider.

Two headed mf is already not a human due to the fact that he have images as face and having two heads, Kaiser company bastard is well, a robot. My best guess is the normal human males either leave ASAP or are inevitably killed because of the frequency of firefights and other violent events, or they are neets who fear the outside (for rather good reason). Then when they have a daughter with a Halo, they send em to Kivitos for a better schooling thing. As the only implied human males we meet are the Kaiser military in robot armor (I think?). Unless the students will grow up and get piped by the pug/cat/robot people. Then I gotta wonder about the logistics. Odds are totally wrong, but until I get confirmation from something, these are my head cannons.

So idk if this is correct but it seems right There seems to be no other human males in Kivotos. However, there are other males. The animal-like ones. Some people who i usually chat with in the global discord server said to me "Maybe their date is one of the animals?" Because in the valentines event, there was a stand owner advertising their merchandise and they mention something about "couples". Heck, even in some relationship stories, couples are also mentioned. So what I think, maybe the human females also commonly have relationships with the animal-like males? It sounds strange at first, but then you realize that there are no human males except for Sensei. That explains why the humanoid students of Kivotos have horns, tails and animal ears. Wings? Birds? Angels? Demons? But how come... do we see some students with 100% human like traits? That's the weird part. Maybe babies with no signs of animal-like genes are also made when a humanoid female and an animal breed? That's probably wrong cuz this is probably why: Even after YEARS of reproduction in Kivotos, they never managed to give birth to a humanoid male, only the animals were capable of turning out to be male. Because Kivotos has existed for DECADES, and even after now, no signs of humanoid males except for humanoid females. Y'all can correct me on the comments cuz sheesh this is mysterious

I was actually thinking about this just the other day. Considering how the concept of "adult" is presented to us, it doesn't seem like we're supposed to take NPC designs literally at all. Some of the students are - despite the actual numbers given to us, which are never actually relevant anyway - obviously supposed to be pretty old, way beyond the point of being kids, even Shiroko Terror, but we never see anyone who looks human being called an adult no matter what. The only adults are something else entirely, with the possible (but unconfirmable outside the manga) exception of Sensei. "okay but what are you getting at" Well, so much eastern media is set in school because of collectivist and conformist culture. Young people are permitted more individuality, but are generally expected to get with the program and become cogs in the machine - that's what it means to grow up over there. Not for nothing that so many adults are represented as robots. I'm pretty certain Blue Archive is trying to critique this culture in a fairly heavy-handed way when you look at both this sort of presentation and the story itself.
