I think it was more about being able to teach a twelve year old objectively about limited atonement. I think Piper and Keller were saying that they are looking for men/preachers who will do more then spit out learned doctrine, but are able to teach so that a twelve year old goes away comprehending. It was a good conversation and they were gracious to let us sit in on it. What Keller said at the end was so true about the christianity most young people reject is the moralistic Christianity/chea

@Bert Martin, These three men aren't deacons. They're pastors/teaching elders. God's clearly anointed them with the gifts to leads a generation of believers. They've followed God's mandate to love Him with their "minds." There is no need to delineate mind and heart. Done correctly, study of Scripture overflows in the heart, and God manifests His glory in personal character. Their being smart doesn't make them "puffed up with their knowledge." Where did they get the ability to know from?

@callicutsurf ok, go tell a 12 years old the definition of limited atonement is, and then come back and tell us it is easy.....because it is simple doctrine, but how many simple stuff we make complicated?
