Well Dallas I have to personally THANK YOU! Because my 17 year old actually asked for "his own Bible" about 6 months before I even knew about The Chosen! He happened to be up here with me when I started watching and we LITTERALY binge watched the 1st 5 or six shows together!! He connected to Matthew in a big way, sure enough after watching HE ACTUALLY OPENED THE BIBLE FOR THE 1ST TIME AND STARTED READING!! And he's continued to read!! I tried everything to get him going but was unsuccessful, BUT YOU MANAGED TO DO IT IT ONE NIGHT!! God Bless you Dallas family included! And God bless the entire cast and crew🙏❣

My son died suddenly at 49. He was a Christian, but certainly not perfect. I missed him so much that I shed tears everyday for over 2 years. Then one day I asked the Lord just to let me have a dream about him. I rarely dream at my age of 72. About 2 weeks later I was suddenly startled as I slept, by my son bursting through my bedroom door with flowers behind his back. It was such a vivid dream, I wonder if I was dreaming. He was absolutely beautiful. He was smiling from ear to ear. His hair was curly brown, not too long. His skin was perfect. His teeth were beautiful as he smiled. A day doesn't go by without me remembering how happy he looked, and how perfect. I believe I saw him as he is now in heaven. I haven't grieved over him since that dream. One day I will see him again, in heaven, and I am sure that is exactly how he will look. I believe that in that dream, he was as happy to see me as I was to see him. I thank the Lord for giving me this peace. And Oh, I was so excited when I had this dream that I jumped up to find my husband and tell him. I wish I had stayed in bed and enjoyed the dream for a longer time!

When Dallas talked about daily receiving both praise and hatred and needing to be in a place where he doesn't let either move him, I surprised myself by crying. I am a worker in ministry. I know that God called me to this work. I have had moments when I am reviled, criticized, gossiped about, stabbed in the back, and generally devalued. I have also had moments when I am lifted up as the godly standard and praised as the best at what I do. Both reactions shock me. I've never changed. It's the same imperfect me in both circumstances. I am doing what I do out of love and obedience. I'm just offering my loaves and fishes to Yeshua daily. The Chosen has been such a blessing!

As people we have life and words so messed up. Being a Christian as a young person used to redden my cheeks sometimes , my Mom was a real Christ follower and devout to pray for people and as a teen , sometimes at even school the Church I attended would redden my cheeks. Firstly , I humbly apologize to God my Father , The Son , Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. I love 💕 all three in one and thankfully Yeshua washed my immaturity under His precious 🩸. What a price Yeshua paid for me, my ignorance was just that , ignorance and I love ❤️ Him. Am so thankful he really loves us and willing to forgive us.

Each month I ‘walk people across the dark starry sky’ at a campground high in the mountains above San Diego, CA. I show them God’s little light show as a volunteer. My payday is when someone says, “thank you” or “I never saw that before.” My telescope is just a tool to point out God’s creation above us; so many people are not aware because of light pollution in our cities. I’m offered a free camping spot and will camp out under God’s blanket of stars. When I leave the campsite, it is left in a better condition then when I found it. No trash, picnic table clean, etc. Just like Jesus leaving extra firewood for the next person. As for my camper stargazers, I leave them with more of an appreciation of what God has created. BTW, I’m an amateur Christian astronomer who sneaks in God and Jesus whenever I can. 🙏✝️🕊🐟🍇🍞🎄🐫🐫🐫⭐️✨ Keep looking up, 🔭 Dennis

This the deepest, most vulnerable, revealing, encouraging interview with Dallas I’ve seen. I’ve heard all the buzz words that represent his failures and trials, but this interview puts meat in those now dry bones. The Lord was with you all in this conversation. The Shepherd was my introduction to The Chosen. It is by far the most beautiful portrayal of the birth of Christ I’ve ever seen. Through the eyes of the struggling Shepherd it perfectly highlighted the Love, Hope, Faith & Healing of what the birth of Jesus brought to the world. I’ve been a follower of The Chosen ever since. It has also introduced me to some wonderful people who have helped me on my path to better understanding The Gospel. That’s how I found Levi & this channel. The Chosen is not only an entertaining version of the life of Jesus & his disciples but for me personally it has become a bridge to further my knowledge of scripture that I now crave for like never before.

What Dallas has been lead to do and done is so profound showing, our Yeshua in a light that say no matter who how or where you are you can relate to and have this beautiful relationship with Yeshua. Most have been conditioned to who and what Yeshua is, and this is so far from the truth. “ come to me with your broken heart, your pain, your loneliness and He will give you the joy, love and peace.” Yeshua is so very real. Thank you to Dallas and the whole team for your love and sacrifice.

My problem with people don't understand is that, Jesus is, human and fully God. He lived amongst regular people like us. Of course He would have had normal life. Bible doesn't expose everything about Jesus's character and the interaction with the disciples. Even the disciples are normal people who had their own personal problems like us. I adore Jesus, and in awe of Him. I always talk to Jesus on a personal level, I argue with Him, I laugh with Him, I cry on His shoulder. I have no one other than Him in my life. So I interact with Him through out the day. Trust me, Jesus answers even little problems I have. I love Him so much. I like how The chosen is bringing the real people problems.

God's blessings from Memphis, Tn. I am a professional musician and recorded a "Gospel" album in 91' and got everyone to pray over each session and I had to "raise" or "borrow" $20,000 to get it done back then but it was paid back in less than a year. In the early 90's, while on a mission trip to Central America, I gave a copy of my work to one of the translators. He came back the next day and told me of his brother, who was fasting and praying for 40 days at that time, wanted to meet me. I asked "Why?" naturally! He said because his brother felt the "Holy Spirit" listening to that music, wanted to pray for me and he didn't even speak English!!! So thank you so very much and I know that our God will Bless you muchly for this wonderful production of "The Chosen!!!" Oh BTW, I did meet the brother and it was indeed a God Moment in my life and the friend that I took along as a "witness!!!" *! Father, ! Son and ! Holy Spirit!!!"

Something that stood out to me from Jesus teaching his disciples - I was reading in Acts today about the healing of the beggar. The beggar asks Simon Peter and John for money. Peter says, "Silver and gold I don't have, but what I have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ, stand up and walk." The scene of Jesus healing Jesse at the pool flashed into my mind and I connected Peter's words and reaction with that. He watched, he listened, he witnessed, he participated. When his Master was no longer with him physically, he carried on Messiah's ministry. The visual from The Chosen was so powerful in driving this home. I've read that passage many times, but not with this impact. Thank you!

This is a wonderful interview. Thank you all. I’ve cried and laughed. The Chosen is such a gift. And the book, Eyes of the Lion?, touched me is ways I didn’t expect at all. I’ve been going thru the very thing discussed about my own highs and lows being dependent on whether or not I feel like I’m contributing to my own and others’ walk with Jesus. I’m learning every day. It’s an ongoing daily surrender. There is a song called Unraveled that says it beautifully, “it’s harder than I thought it would be, but I’ve never been happier”. Be continually blessed.

The Chosen is the best film portrayal of Jesus EVER!!!!! Perfect casting. Rumi's eyes. Jesus' miracles and humanity - perfect balance. Jesus is peaceful and praying plus joking and funny, and soooo peaceful. Peter is perfect. Matthew is awesome/original. Judas interesting/original. Mary, Eden, Mary, etc. etc. All great. Nicodemus scene - powerful. Relapse/backsliding of Mary - excellent. Bickering apostles- excellent. And as said above...this show has made my relationship with Jesus more real. The show shows how "organic" Jesus spreading His message was...and... the attitude of you, Rumi, and the show - "I Am Not Worthy" - makes it "anointed." Thank you Dallas for your honesty about "Gavin Stone". We have all felt that exact feeling.

I have to say this, most will criticize this project or Dallas, it very important to understand most will not understand this because you need to have Yeshua heart, which means chasing and desiring Yeshua. So what I’m saying is this Dallas’s walk and love of chasing Yeshua our Yeshua has give Dallas a precious gift of knowing Him on a intimate level. And this is why Dallas can create the emotions and feelings on this show. God wants YOU to know Him in the same way.

The part of the conversation about pride reminded me of this little bit from the Screwtape Letters, regarding humility. The conclusion that Screwtape comes to (though he hates it) is that humility looks like the greatest architect in the world designing the most beautiful building in the world, knowing it to be the best, and rejoicing in it being the best, while he would love it just as much and rejoice in it just as much if someone else designed it.

I cry for happy all through the episodes my heart is so full of love and uplifting Joy. Thank you so much and here I go sobbing again. Thank goodness it helps clear your sinuses. Probably a joke that our Jesus would get. I guess you understand I love the humor and the hugging and the Expressions on people's faces when they realize who he really is for Real!

First of all, y’all stretching the humanness of Jesus made me LOVE the show even more. It honestly made me love Jesus even more because just reading the bible doesn’t make him seem like that and for me. Because of how you made him, I view him now as this real dude who’s funny and silly and REAL. Also, my tween loved the trouble scene too. He laughed and said, “all Jesus needs to do is put on his sunglasses and have explosive going off in the background” 😂 He also commented on the backpack and thought it was hilarious Jesus had a backpack.

There has been an anointing on this show from the beginning and I find that I have to remind myself to breathe at times while watching. The Chosen is a FORCE to be reckoned with for the honour and glory it brings to our beloved Saviour.

Thank you for this interview. Thank you for sharing how The Chosen idea became to be. I have just been going through something similar - God's direction, His will, yes, my 'greatest' failure - then what He wants, and wants to do, - the doors open for that. I got out of the way. Now God is working. I'm providing the loaves and fish, but not control of the outcome. I'm allowing God to feed the 5,000. ✝

I will be donating to The Chosen. After I have seen a couple of episodes I decided that I should donate. I thought of a number, that in retrospect was paltry. Instantly it was like a whisper inside my head. I heard the number that I had started with repeated and then I heard yet, you spent over $400 on a gift for your granddaughter. ( $50 is normal). My husband and I are in our seventies on a limited income but we're doing quite alright. Each time I thought of a higher number, it was not approved. I have to check on things but I hope to give from $500 to $1,000. The world needs Jesus. Of course that means we need Adonai. He is our father or I should say Abba in heaven.

I had something that I could relate to as a Christian teen. It was called the Jesus movement (One way, brother). Love this show and have been viewing it with my adult daughter. Problem is I want to watch more but we have difficulty coordinating our viewing times and she says, "Don't watch anymore without me cause I want to watch it." And love the backpack too. I like things that are purely functional, and that's what this backpack is

I wanted to ask the exact same thing..."Where can I get that backpack?" When will you make it available?, was my thinking. Too funny! Stitching "Trouble" on it would even be better! Smaller scale for sure.

The Chosen is changing the world one life at a time. Our son-in-law, who is not a believer, was curious after we told him about it, so he watched Episode 1 with us. He was so enthralled that we all binge watched Seasons 1 & 2 on a weekend . When Nicodemus failed to follow Jesus, our Son-in-Law said, 'I would have gone'. You are showing us a Lord and Savior worth following. What John said in the 'In the Beginning' episode was right--"They won't remember the sound of his voice, they will only have his words." We needed the sound of his voice.

@@jeffstumpf9129 wow, how to explain when I hardly understand it myself. It's both the most profound thing and the most incomprensible. As humans we want to understand everything, but some things are just beyond what we can understand. I've just experimented living both ways believing and unbelieving and found results in my life when I started praying and listening to what I perceive to be God, and letting go of the blocks in my life, such as needing to control and understand. So that's a short answer of what my personal relationship with God looks like, someone else might have a different answer. Someone gave the analogy that God is like gravity, we see and feel its effects every day, but we little understand it. Hope that helps.

Jonathan is so beautifully perfect as Jesus Christ. I'm paying attention to when Jonathan is being interviewed oh, I noticed that he is so different from when he's playing Jesus. Jesus has such openness he's reaching out to embrace people. The expressions in his eyes speak volumes. I love that he said he has to empty himself of himself. And I believe the holy spirit is guiding him to be able to pull from himself and his own Talent a Jesus that is absolutely real.

You are in my prayers...We all knew the enemy would try to cause as much chaos as possible (check the weather!!!!). But this WE KNOW OUR GOD IS IN CONTROL....I just heard Pastor Jack Hibbs give a sermon " Persevere". He quoted Samuel Adams "If we act worthy of heaven we can bank on the protection of heaven"...So "In all things give thanks for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus"....Love you all...

This is a very good interview. I understand how stubborn people can be esp when you're trying your best to impart to them what The Chosen is all about. That "come and see" as basing on my own experience it was at that moment that my Netflix acct got suspended and I was depressed and mad at my daughter that I thought of searching the show on KZbin remembering what an fb friend posted and raving about it. I only provide my loaf and fish by planting seeds and I just let God do the rest as what happened to me. And I just thank God that He did not give up on me after snobbing this show thinking it was just another Jesus show. How wrong I was. That conversation between Dallas and Jonathan made me realized this was no ordinary show but clearly the Hand of God is in this project.

Gavin Stone’s failure wasn’t a failure…it was God’s way of putting you on His path. I’ve been there and when I was sinking into raw hurt and emotion, praying and listing “all the things I had done per scriptural guidance “ I said, “I have done everything I can and I’m done trying, You have to do this!” And I heard Him say, “It’s about time.” And I responded, “Really?!! You could have said so earlier! And He said…you weren’t listening.” 😢. Now I take everything to that moment to ensure I’m listening.
