I teared up picturing Mavis Staples teaching Janis Joplin "Down By The Riverside". Mavis Staples is an angel on earth.

She has worked with and fellowshipped with EVERYBODY in the business (all the GREATS of both secular and gospel music) and still chooses to remain humble. I love her for that. If ANYBODY could have the big head it would be Mavis Staples and the fact that she doesn't should make some of these "divas" feel ashamed!
