I can tell you about growing up in Mississippi, MISERY, MISERY, MISERY!!!! I graduated on Sunday, and caught the greyhound bus on Tuesday and went to Memphis, TN, then on to Chicago, IL and NEVER LOOKED BACK!! WOW, that was my hometown, Mound Bayou, MS!!

When the Staple Singers and The Band performed 'The Weight ' for a segment from the Last Waltz In 1977 , little did the world know that they made one of the greatest pieces of musical brilliance in the history of popular music . If anyone out there has not ever seen The Last Waltz movie ,all I will say is 'somebody call the cops ' because that is a serious crime commited on your part .....do it now ,! It's the greatest music rockumentary in the history of the multi verse . You have been warned !

Mavis is alive and well at 80 years young 🙂. Was Blessed to see her in concert a few years ago. She was wonderful! Shes a spunky lil lady. Have mad respect for her & The Staple Family🙌🏾🎤🎸🎹🎶
