Authentic, real. Thank you for sharing. One thing, as a person of color in America, the racism is real to me. However, I feel like it's tough to have a productive conversation about racism because it's so flammable. Also, I agree with him on children. Our society has to make families priority again. Lord, help us.

The phrase was used in México in the first quarter of the 20th century as a rallying cry as "Viva Cristo Rey" during the Cristero War (Aug 3, 1926 - Jun 21, 1929) Oh, I believe one reason Trump chose Vance instead of Pance (meaning Pence) as a running mate this time is to attract the Catholic vote and nothing less, since all Trump cares about is only your vote and not the fact that you or I are Catholic.

Too bad JD doesn't know about the Vedic tradition, which is WAY older than Catholicism. It turns out he is from the cookie cutter of higher education that has grnerations of public blinders on to the wisdom of the sacred bible of the east- Bgagavad-gita. My hopes in his Indian wife are dashed, but the way modern faith works, one can become a Baptist from being Muslim, a Buddhist from being Jewish, a Hindu from being Methodist and so on and so on. This kind of "faith" is superficial. True relgion is perfect knowledge of God, and how to love that Supreme Lord. That is the real goal of our human life.

So far the pov Oren Cass presents on many economic/societal, for JD, are hopeful. Centering religion’s teaching points is a turn-off in governmental issues for politics in general for a majority of forward thinking humans. A fallback position of, the Bible says/god says/my Christian ethics say(absent of conversational reasoning) I have found is where deep dialogue goes to die. If religious background makes one a better person, just like any positive human connection, makes the world a better place.
