Oh come off it will you. The mans been a bloody disaster, and NATO''s largest military component (turkey) is about 5 minutes from buggering off to BRICCS and even if it wasn't, the simple material fact is NATO is weaker than it has ever been, despite a trillion dollar a year budget leeched from EU /UK/US tax payers the reality is most of that goes out of the door on dividend payments to the rich minority for no work with only a sliver of it ever spent on production which is why rinkydink Russia has been outproducing the entire western alliance on basic armaments because dear Jen and his pals across western governments left it all up to capitalism and markets to provide 👍👍and they failed miserably, nor least of all due to the fact that the wester entire production base has been shrinking rapidly for the last 70 yrs as capitalism incentivised it all to bugger off abroad in pursuit of higher profits for few at the top. Sure we have very nice toys, good ships, but we cannot replace them in anything like the numbers and quantities needed for a major conflict. Russia can. Guns and people... 300 years they have had many problems, but never have they had a problem producing guns and training the people needed to fire them. The very idea that the west could use Ukraine to force into being a conflict that would then allow the west to utilise sanctions to destroy Russia allowing the Ukrainian military to win out, is beyond batshitt, but that is what Jen and his pals did, put into action over the last 15yrs, from which Feb2022 was the resultant symptom of those efforts, it was not a cause unto itself.

Jens Stoltenberg is and has been a very good choice for NATO Sec General. Very clear thinking and reasoning, strong knowledge of NATO’s as well as international history, and a very good communicator. It is leaders like Mr Stoltenberg who give me much confidence in NATO as a defense protector of all of us as NATO members and in many cases, of world stability. It was very clear in the initial stages of Russia’s 2022 invasion that NATO and Ukraine had done much hard work in the years since Russia’s 2014 takeover of Crimea, sovereign territory of Ukraine.
