@@musicgenius1948 I've enjoyed his chats with other authors during last year's The Trouble with Peace release which were organised by Orbit and streamed via Crowdcast and his reddit AMAs. Also the most recent Q&A via Orbit. The Brothers Gwynne and Mike's Book reviews also did an interesting interview with him. I just appreciate how they went out of their way to ask Joe different questions since it seems he always gets asked the same things - about his influences, characters and writing process. Also highly recommend the Friends talking fantasy podcast - Joe was on it today and it dives deeper into the lore and characters than most interviews.

You're welcome! Thanks for watching. I think the characters of the First Law trilogy will remain the best in our hearts, even though the new characters are all incredibly well-written as well. As for your question, I don't think we'll ever see Logen Ninefingers again; Red Country seems to be his final book. As for Ferro, I think this question has been asked to Joe a few times, and if I'm not mistaken, it remains to be seen in the future. :)

@@PetrikLeo I quite enjoyed the first few of them. Honestly, it's been so long since I've read them, that I think I should have reread before I read this one. It spans such a large amount of time, but I think you probably enjoy it quite a bit. I'd recommend giving the first book a shot at some point to see if you are interested in reading the series. From what I recall, the first book actually isn't very long.

I love all his books except his latest, The Wisdom of Crowds. It really seemed to drag along, and just didn’t like the ending at all. I know that’s personal preference. There were no characters that came remotely close to the greatness of Sand Dan Glokta (he was in it in a diminished capacity for a brief time) or Logan Ninefingers. These were exceptional characters and hard to live up to. Maybe I just expected something more. Anyway I will still keep buying his books I absolutely loved the rest.

Interesting, I finished Wisdom of Crowds yesterday and I personally think it's one of Abercrombie's best book so far. I definitely agree though that Sand dan Glokta was brilliant as always. But yeah, Logen and Glokta are two super iconic characters that are hard to live up to! 😄
