I cried when you said "Allah made you the eldest for a reason" I remember I would be sad and complain at how hard life was as the eldest child and my mother would always tell me "Allah made you first for a reason" its beautiful how Allah brings things full circle in life because as a teenager I never understood it but once I got to my mid 20s I saw it, the pride and joy of being first born and being a guide for your siblings through this dunya. alhamdulilah really this podcast is a blessing wallahi, it was lovely to hear your mama and her wisdom mashallah love you guys

Layla, thank you for sharing your journey with us. I had a very challenging childhood, which led to deep depression and low self-esteem. For a long time, I didn’t see myself as worthy. It wasn’t until about a year ago that I began to understand my value. Unfortunately I got engaged to someone who treated me poorly and that only worsened my sense of self-worth. It wasn’t easy at all to break free from that toxic relationship. But now I’ve started working on myself and focusing on improving my relationship with God. Hiii layla. I'm halfway thru the episode but I just wanna hop in and tell you that if you have anyone on here who doesn't speak English or maybe prefers to speak Arabic, that's totally fine! (As long as there are translated captions available 😂) that's more work on the editing side of the video but yk it's definitely an option to consider if the need ever arises
