I'm not crying, I just have something in my eyes. My father left me when I was a kid, my mom raised me as she could but she didn't care that much and I got distant from all my family. I started drinking and smoking when I was 16, than smoking weed at 24. Now I am married, I am almost 40 and it took a while to realize so many things. I am lucky to have a wife who loves me and supports me in everything.

Man this slapped me with a big hit of reality. From where I was 10 years ago until now has been a big change. Homeless hopeless and an addiction to pain pills then to meth heroin and fentanyl to now having 37 days clean and everyday seeing a brighter version of myself. I’ve relapsed 13 times after being in 13 different rehabs and sober livings. Today I actually have a reason to stay clean. Bro! I just got hip to your music couple years ago and man am I so happy that algorithms put it on my Playlist. Wow. . . . I'm literally speechless right now mixed with so many emotions. And I'm still learning what they are how they effect me how to get through em. My mother raised me till was on my own on the streets by 13. Back and forth with drinking and drugging to numb the way life made me feel. Never once dealt with feelings really. Till after I died last year from a fentanyl laced pain killer. Been clean for 13 months now since that night. Work with a therapist and she's been amazing in helping me understand the real me. I been making goals and reaching em for first time in my life. So since 13 this is the best version of me that's ever been. And I like it. Amazing song brother thank you for all your great work.
