The most qualified, educated and effective man to be both finance minister as well as prime minister of India. But perhaps not a mass leader. So people don't know much about him. He made valuable contributions in every post he held including RBI governor. Today as an elderly person when he gives suggestions the present PM and his party heap scorn on him. This is not the Indian way. It may the crude response of the rustic Sangha Parivar who don't seem to value education and a scientific temper.

If you wish to understand the Hindu character then know that the hindus of India didn't tolerate a Sikh Scholar Dr Manmohan Singh as PM despite his educational attainments, a liberal secular outlook and total dedication to the idea of India. Hindus replaced the Sikh Scholar with a Hindu hero narender modi who hardly has any education, work profile and also a blatant proponent of the Hindu rashtar rather than strengthen the idea of India
