I’ve been a huge Kenny G fan since the 80’s when I first heard “ Songbird”, like millions of people since that was the song that finally made him a big hit, as you can see in the documentary. When Jazz artist and other critics criticize Kenny you can tell that they just didn’t listen to his whole catalog, as he has a variety of jazz styles that he does, and ultimately has had huge success with his style of jazz “ power “ ballads, something that a lot of others where not doing at the time(maybe with the exception of Dave Koz) and he gained so many worldwide fans because of them. I love everything that he has done and his music has been the soundtrack of my life, getting me through the good and bad days of life. He has been my favorite Jazz artist and despite the criticism he will be talked about and remembered years from now as one of the best to ever pick up a saxophone 🎷.

He looks fantastic! I love his music. Admittedly its been a while since I've listened to him. But I plan on listening to him tomorrow. (I'm getting ready for bed) I used to have a Christmas album of his that I played the heck out of. Tis the season! ✌😎🤘

i love hearing his music, idk if it’s necessarily pure jazz but he’s def one of the most IMPORTANT saxophone players of all time, a lot of stereotypes associated with the saxophone all stemmed from his style

Smooth POP Master 👌 has an individual style a la Fausto Papetti's - cool, smooth and relaxing, aided by hors d'oeuvres of shakes and trills as well as echo and reverb amplification. It's worthy of attention that Kenny can and, occasionally, does use snap-shots of the Jazz Language in his commercial undertakings. "Songbird" (1986/7) had initiated the commercial success of his musical career. After more than thirty years, Kenny G. has neither turned back nor lost his supporters and fans. With age, he demonstrates the same Smooth Verve that has brought him millions.

I went to a concert of his in a small Japanese restaurant/club with a little theater and at one point he held a note and walked around giving everyone (including us) high-fives. It was very interesting. We also had a meet-and-greet at the very end, and he signed one of the seven albums we own, writing "To Matthew and Lance" (my brother also plays the saxophone). Pretty cool guy, just like the music he plays. 😆
You dumb af go somewhere else Corey. Talking down on someone's appearance is very low. You need Jesus.
