Thank you Josh and James for the insightful interview. I've enjoyed more than 3,500 hrs of play and I love the game. I'm one of those players that am grateful, James, for your wish fountain addition. I do not like combat. It physically stresses me out and I get ill. I use peaceful mode from the wish fountain. I'm sad that the new update has eliminated peaceful mode in most of the mines. I understand your desires for combat, but if I had one request it would be to have more than one way to obtain items and recipes in the game. At this point, I am unable to get the things from the red chest in the new mine level and I feel like I'm missing out on a portion of the game. I would be thrilled and so appreciative if there was a another way to get those items. Thanks James for all your hard work and love for your game. It shows in its quality and enjoyment. Much appreciation from this player :)

I second that! i am so disappointed with the changes to the peaceful wish and for similar reasons! I really don't understand why he did it.

I loved Animal Crossing but I actually enjoy Dinkum even more. There is so much to do and you always feel like you're progressing and your town is getting better. It's obvious when you play that the game is important to James. He just keep making it even better.

I had the best time playing Dinkum with my husband! We were constantly so impressed that one developer was able to create such a big game with so much to do. I feel like we racked up an embarrassing amount of hours the first week we got it. This was a really fun episode! I really loved hearing James Bendon talk about his passion for his craft and his appreciation of the Dinkum community. And Josh, you asked so many great questions; it made me really want to play Dinkum again!

I have to admit I bought Dinkum as a filler game till I could find something to take the place of the game I was playing at the time and was absolutely blown away by everything about it. You are right Josh, the game felt really polished with very few bugs and even the bugs had safegaps so you didn't have to reload. I would love to see James incorporate adding Illawarra flame tree flowers to the bottle trees in summer to take up the mantle from the glorious Jacaranda trees in Spring. As an Aussie I was expecting to cringe when I played the game but I am seriously impressed with how accurate it is aside from the Bush devils blowing fire. I have some living on my property (in Tasmania) and thank goodness, they don't breath fire or my insurance would rise exponentially. Awesome game, brilliant content creator and can't wait to see what his next game is. I will buy it sight unseen after playing Dinkum.

I started playing Dinkum since the first release, and I love watching the game grow throughout the seasons. The game has many new quality-of-life features and overall new items I'm obsessed with!! I'm also learning so many new things along the way... like who knew you could stun magpies/cockatoos and trap them!! My gosh, it happened by accident too. Great Interview Josh and James!

This was awesome podcast, fantastic questions asked met with fantastic answers James gave us, I have Dinkum but haven't played it for a long time, over a year now, and I have so much backlogs to catch up on, but knowing that next time I'll play it and starting a new island, it will have seasonal effect so that is very exciting for me. Thank you Josh and James for a great chat. Not long til a very busy but exciting November month, tons of games and I'm so happy to see the love for Luma Island, I'm absolutely beyond excited for Luma Island.

Dinkum is the first game I've played where I'm not restarting over and over again, and I think it is all because of the decorating aspects. Like with this mini Go Go Town crossover update I decided to build a unicorn race track on my island, and with 1,000 hours in my one island I already had most of the building supplies to do it.

So glad to put a face to the game! Enjoy Dinkum so much like 4000 hours much. My favorite part is ability to change biomes as I am not able to handle jungles and so many games choose that biome. With Dinkum you can make it a forest and just leave enough jungle for resources. Thanks for doing this video.

Passion, that is what is missing from all so-called "AAA" games. Indie devs are usually more passionate about their game and it shows.

Best game I've played in years. There's so much to do and because it is so complex, you feel like you'll never be done with it. Most games, after 60 hours, you're done. In Dinkum, you're just getting started.

Great video Josh and James is such a nice man! The only reason I haven't played this is because of the way the characters talk (similar to the squiggly animal crossing vibe.). I have misophonia and certain noises I absolutely cannot stand, so this is a no-no for me. If there was a way to turn this off I would be straight in there! Thanks again for the video!
