I was so excited to see a new podcast episode! Great job as always! I never played The Sims but I found it interesting to learn about the history of where it came from versus where MySims and Sims 4 is now. Also, I have been holding off on playing Fields of Mistria and was doing well at resisting it but you guys talking about the update is making me give in to temptation. PS I loved your comment around 1:07:18 about Ulrich as a romanceable character.

I would really love to see more sims games like Castaway and Medieval in the Sims 4 engine/style. I imagine the environments would be stunning ❤

The sims 2 was even weirder on the gba because they were episodes in a reality show. The psp version of sims 2 was my favorite but all of the portable ones had aliens.

Have either of you played gleaner heights or graveyard keeper? Gleaner heights in particular has similarities to that upcoming game with a murderer.

I have to admit I bought Dinkum as a filler game till I could find something to take the place of the game I was playing at the time and was absolutely blown away by everything about it. You are right Josh, the game felt really polished with very few bugs and even the bugs had safegaps so you didn't have to reload. I would love to see James incorporate adding Illawarra flame tree flowers to the bottle trees in summer to take up the mantle from the glorious Jacaranda trees in Spring. As an Aussie I was expecting to cringe when I played the game but I am seriously impressed with how accurate it is aside from the Bush devils blowing fire. I have some living on my property (in Tasmania) and thank goodness, they don't breath fire or my insurance would rise exponentially. Awesome game, brilliant content creator and can't wait to see what his next game is. I will buy it sight unseen after playing Dinkum.

I keep giving up on Dinkum because I can't do enough in a day. I know there's some pocket watch or something, but I don't want to stop exploring areas just because the day is done. That's what I hate about Stardew Valley, being rushed...

Mobile gaming has so much potential to upset Nintendo, but until there's a unified play on iOS, Mac and Apple TV, progress is synced across all devices, I don't think it's where it needs to be. If they could pull that off using iCloud sync it'd be amazing. I'm sure since it's Korean it's not going to be big on the Apple side of things. Unless I'm wrong.

I didn't like Paleo pines, it had some nice models, but the controls were poorly designed and the frame rate triggered motion sickness. "you're paying subscription to test a game" - zero problem with devs using steam early access, kickstarter or patreon which is pretty much the same thing >.<

I loved Animal Crossing but I actually enjoy Dinkum even more. There is so much to do and you always feel like you're progressing and your town is getting better. It's obvious when you play that the game is important to James. He just keep making it even better.

Dinkum is the first game I've played where I'm not restarting over and over again, and I think it is all because of the decorating aspects. Like with this mini Go Go Town crossover update I decided to build a unicorn race track on my island, and with 1,000 hours in my one island I already had most of the building supplies to do it.

I started playing Dinkum since the first release, and I love watching the game grow throughout the seasons. The game has many new quality-of-life features and overall new items I'm obsessed with!! I'm also learning so many new things along the way... like who knew you could stun magpies/cockatoos and trap them!! My gosh, it happened by accident too. Great Interview Josh and James! <3

Passion, that is what is missing from all so-called "AAA" games. Indie devs are usually more passionate about their game and it shows.

Great conversation with James and more insight into creating a game and upcoming for Dinkum. I've never played it personally and might not play it (due to time constraints and a huge backlog), but this podcast episode definitely makes me want to give it a shot.
