Have you seen Chinese diplomats in the Middle East? Man speak fluent Arabic, a language that historically the Chinese would have little exposure to. Similarly, the ones sent to African often speak fluent French, AND one or more of the local languages. I somehow can't see the American State Department bothering to do the same...

How much as changed since Jiang and Hu’s China! It is clear Yang had a better time serving under their leaderships and he is now acting like a lackey of Xi Jinping against his own diplomatic instincts, humiliated in front of the world and his diplomatic colleagues.
