honestly I ship elain with both az and Lucien but think about ELAIN AND TARQUIN. now that is the couple whose meant to be. I mean we all know azriel hates illyria, so if he meets a illyrian woman and falls for her, that would make so much more sense. Lucien and The phoenix queen are going to happen (I think, fingers crossed). And elain and tarquin are both literally perfect for each other.

@writergash

A book about the first war would be awesome, but I would prefer that to be in a Novela for cause I'm too attached to Feyre and the current inner circle to imagine one of the three books about that. In my head, the Novella's could focus on Drakon and his people, First War, something with Suriel. The three books can be about Amren/Nesta, Mor, Elain.

I believed Jurian. At the begining of the book when he said he knew Rhys and he didn't buy the crap about him being evil, I was pretty sure he was playing his own games. He didn't choose for Hybern to bring him back, and I'd always been baffled at why Hybern thought 'oh this is a good idea, lets bring back one of the people who used to hate us so much, and has spent hundreds of years suffering because of us, and I'm sure he'll want to work with us'. Yeahhhh, I kinda never bought that he was with the bad guys.

I really liked this book! I thought it was a great conclusion to Rhys and Feyre's story but left enough open to continue on in this world. I'm so curious as to who's perspective we'll be getting in the next trilogy. I'm also REALLY torn about Az, Elaine and Lucien. I think it's interesting that yes, they can have a mating bond with someone but it doesn't mean they're a good match. Also, when the Bone Carver died, I also died a little inside...

When it comes to Azriel, Lucian and Elain - I think Elain would be better for Azriel. When I imagined someone for Lucian, a timid soul like Elain was just the complete opposite of who I thought would be right for him. Az on the other hand seems almost a perfect match, they're both quiet but in different ways, and both so peaceful and gentle. And I feel it would be wrong for both Lucian and Elain, and I think it would be interesting to see a story told about choosing between your mate, who you'll have a connection to forever regardless, and the person you truly feel a romantic connection to and love. Also, I feel Lucian and Azriel are such awesome characters, and I don't get that from Elain at all. She's not a favourite of mine. And while I'd like to see her with Azriel, because I do see chemistry there, I feel she's too wrong for Lucian for me to be happy for him if he got stuck with her just cause they're mated.

I loved Feyre in the Spring Court! The whole time I was like Yass girl you trick those motherfs 😂😂 Why did the Suriel have to die, whyyy.?! Kill another monster!😪 Also I bawled when Rhys held his speech, I was literally a mess. It was not a pretty sight 😂 Would have loved to see Feyre using her power more. She was given these awesome powers but she didn't really do anything, which was kinda annoying. I wanted her to be on that battlefield and destroying the Hybern soldiers, being a badass.😕 Kinda shipping Az and Elain more than Lucien and Elain. I just want a happy ending for my baby Az!❤️ This book gave me so many feels. I have never cried that much, but I think I like ACOMAF the most. Also agree that a lot was left unanswered. When the High Lords bring a person back, they lose that part of their power and themselves forever. Its like giving away a piece of their soul. That's why the gang were scared the Autumn court king would try to kill her to get it back. So it's definitely not going to be something they do often; it comes at great cost and is reserved for the greatest sacrifices.

I would love a novella about kallias and viviane😍 when she said ' why didn't you make me high lady?' I DIED😭 also I kinda want an m/m with thesan haha. I also gave this a 4.5 but I didn't really mind the loose ends as it was so obviously pointing towards another three books. Nessian made this book for me - ever since the wings and embers chapter (it's on tumblr if you haven't read it) I have been OBSESSED with them😍 in acomaf I disliked nesta a lot, but still shipped them but in this book I was hardcore fangirling over every minor interaction lol (even tho she's a stone cold bitch lol.) I LOVE AZ AND FEYRE'S INTERACTIONS OMG. Also I'm super confused if elriel or elucien is gonna happen ??? Literally no idea, I'm personally liking az and elain platonically bc I want Lucien to just be happy and I'm really not wanting a love triangle:( she keeps alluding to mating bonds not being perfect so I kinda feel like the bond might get rejected:(

I felt with mor that her character development was not handled well with her sexuality reveal after being in a hostile discriminating environment to finding supportive friends/ family, i know i didnt want to hide who i was when i found people who loved and respect me it took time but mor had what? 50 years in such a loving group also with a high lord having a male partner idk why she would think she has to have children?? i understnd thats a prominent thing for the court of nightmares but shes in the court of dreams now idk im all for diversity but i dont think Sarah initially had this in mind and kinda forced it A casual bisexual reveal would have suited Mors' personality really well i think agree suriel is the real MVP

0_Nerd_0 if she was then that makes it worse. We should have gotten more hints that Mor was actually a complete bitch, and the final book should have actually treated her like one too - rather than having it be treated like it's totally understandable and acceptable what she did to Azriel. Instead this revelation came out of nowhere: No, Mor's not actually a nice person, she's the type of person who willingly breaks someones heart over and over again for over 500 years and has the gall to say she loves them - just becaue she likes the attention essentially. Cause if he shows signs of interest in anybody else, she'll throw a jealous attitude. And she'd also bring his best friend into the mix, and fuck with their feelings for 500 years. Uh huh. Yeah, that was totally set up for a while. Except not really. She was set up as a member of the dream team who loved and protected and cared for each other. Till the last book.

0_Nerd_0 if youre refering to the queens thats still pretty lame should have revealed it then if that was her plan like its not some big plot twist you reveal deep into the next book for dramatic effect and a massive plot shift its someones sexuality which didnt change the story but would add some representation she didnt have before that people truly appreciate idk it really didnt sit right the whole situation

I loved the book! That being said, in regards to the ending and the questions you have, I don't particularly care what happened to Bryaxis. I don't know, I liked the scare factor that he gave but he just seemed to fall flat for me? I would love to know what happens with Lucien and Helion and if they find out about their relationship. Also, Lucien, Elain and Azriel. Cassian and Nesta in also curious about! With Keir and the Court of Nightmares, I doubt anything will come of that agreement. Rhys said that no one in Velaris is allowed to entertain them, house them, feed them, interact with them, etc. I think that Keir will be so angry that they won't even bother trying to get in Velaris after they find out how they'll be treated. Though I guess he may try to start a war with Rhys? That would be interesting if it happened.

There's just so much I still want to see from Feyre's point of view that I don't want to accept her story being kinda just over... I think the only reason Lucien wanted Elain was because she was his mate. Cuz before he knew they were mates, he had no interest in elain. AND THEN SUDDENLY ELAIN BECAME FAE, and then that's when the mating bond truly snapped into place and that's the only time Lucien actually did something for elain. So I don't think Lucien loved Elain for what she truly is, I think Lucien loved Elain just because of the fact that they're mates. And Rhys mentioned that not all mating bonds are perfect and the females can choose to accept it or decline it so yeah. Also, Azriel and Elain have a deeper friendship or relationship or whatever it is they have. We can see that Elain is much more comfortable than any other else with Azriel. And although Azriel loves Mor, and Elain is broken from her heartbreak with Graysen, I think they can heal each other, like Rowan and Aelin did. So even if they both deserve more, I kinda think that they'll be enough for each other or sumtin. They'll be more than enough for each other WHEN they heal each other. So that's that. Elriel is my ship. I DON'T KNOW WHAT'LL HAPPEN IN ACOFAS BUT I HOPE THERE WILL BE SOME ELRIEL

hey im in the video lol when feyre realize that the bone Carver was her son I freaked out lol btw im so sorry for my long comment😂 but i have nobody in my life that likes to read i cried all of part 3 seriously the whole time i mean if you had seen me you would have thought a family member died😂 i was crying for the surreal ( is that how you spell it? ) the bone Carver and his sister ( never thought I would be crying for them ) so feyre was a major let down in this book when it came to the war. i mean she was such a bad ass in acomaf, but this one not so much. nesta idk if i will ever truly like her but i do love her with Cassian i hope they get a book. all I'm going to say is i want elain and lucien to be together, and i like the point you made about him not seeing tamlin behavior because he wanted to keep his family i never looked at it that way😢😭 another thing I wanted to hear was why nesta treated feyre the way she was but favored elain. omg mor mor mor smh she did my baby az so wrong even if she didn't want them to know she was gay she could have pulled him to the side and told him he was like a brother to her, and he had no chance with her, but nooooo she leads him on for 500 years! really? i could never do that. I hate the lose ends they drive me insane lol and the rhys dieing i did cry but not for rhys but because of how hard feyre took it ( i knew he would come back🙄😏 ) and lastly tamlin i didn't like him in acotar and hated him in acomaf, but in the end i think he kind of redeemed himself. I have to say, I agreed with almost everything you said. I was watching this video, and I kept thinking I mentioned this in my booktalk. I agree that a lot was left unresolved, and at first, it really bugged me, but we know that three more books are coming and we also know that they are centered on the others in the book. So I'm hoping to get one for Mor, one for Elain and one for Nesta or Amren. I want closure for all these new ships, and I need to know how Amren deals with being just High Fae. I'm curious about how Mor finally comes out and how Az deals with it. I'm also hoping that if we get an Elain book, we may get something regarding Lucien and Hellion and Elain, Lucien and Azriel. And the thing about the monsters was so true. It's like all these ancient creatures were willing to give a lot for so less just for Feyre. They were amazing. The Bone Carver, Bryaxis and Suri were fantastic and I think Suri's fate affected me more that what happened to Rhys. Finally, I was so pleased with the diversity in this book. In ToG we have Aedion who is Bi, but here we had multiple characters that embodied that. Mor, Thesan (I think that his commander is his Mate, Rhys kind of hints that), Nephelle, etc. Also, we had so many POCs. Rhys, Az and Cassian and many other Illyrians are dark skinned and so Tarquin. All in all, as a POC, I was quite pleased with it. Anyways sorry for this huge rant like comment, I just got excited while watching this video cause it gave me all the feels, all over again. Everything, almost, you said I agree with. I did like Nesta, but that credit goes to the Nessian aspect of this and because of the Nessian extra from ACOMAF that I found online cause my copy didn't have it.

I didn't like Mor in this book. I liked that she comes out, but stop playing with Cassian and Azriel ! She let Azriel think that he wasn't enough for her for five hundred years, giving him hope that it may be reciprocated, and it was just a cover up! And the way she drag Cassian into her drama make me more angry. Agh, I don't know, I just didn't like how this aspect came to place. (Besides, I adore that Sarah J. Maas is bringing more diversity into her books, but I'm the only one who thinks that it felt forced here? Like, suddenly all this people jus appear. Even the thing with Mor. So many times in ACOMAF Maas make us believe that there was something there with Azriel and then it was like any of those scenes ever existed. Again, I'm not complying, but it could have been handled better).

I agree with you so much. Mor disappointing me completely. She's not who I thought she was. She strung along Azriel, and dragged Cassian into it, two *best friends* and sleeps with guys even though she doesn't even want to, just to hurt Azriel. And it is just to hurt him, cause she clearly likes him pining after her, cause she shows clear jealousy over both Elain with Az and Nesta with Cass. I can't believe she could do that to people she says she loves.

@HBlehed 7 жыл бұрын
That's exactly what I thought! (for both your comments) I just wanted to add that I really think the Mor thing was an on the spot thought. I mean that Sarah was keeping in mind to add diversity and when she stumbled on Mor she was going to let her be with Az but thought that making her bi or gay would please a lot of people since she's a main character! which is clearly a bad idea cause although people like that she came out they didn't like how it fits with the story.

Many people didn't put this together but I want to say it here: Tamlin is the high lord that ended up giving her the shapeshifting powers which enables her to fly. Think about the significance of that for a moment. Despite all his shit, he's the one that not only gives her the ability to fly free, but also grants her the wind that saves her from Hyburn. After reading the A Court of Frost and Starlight (a novella) we get to see more of Tamlin and what has happened to him. But I really think Sarah Maas did an EXCELLENT job with the significance of Tamlin's gift and his acceptance of their love for one another.

I believe that one of the main reasons they brought Rhys back from death was Feyre. For bringing someone back, you need all seven High Lords (or Lady in this case). For example the High Lord of the Summer Court dies. Would the new High Lord really be eager to give up his might just to bring the old one back? Probably not. But the fact that Feyre is his High Lady (and because of that his equal) changes everything in my opinion. Plus it seems like they only bring someone back when that person saves all of Prythian (which both Feyre and Rhys did). And it isn't impossible to think that the other High Lords are greatful for Rhys distracting Amarantha for 49 years and therefor saving a lot of lives. And finally all the High Lords had likely their own reasons for bringing him back. This reaction became far longer then I intended 😄 I really love your channel! 😍

A love triangle would just be too much. There's only so much of those a girl can handle, and we kind of already had a lot in these three books. Lucien is a cupcake that only wanted love, friendship and family all his life. And that wanting was what made him make most of the decisions he made, the good and the bad ones. That's why I feel like Elain should end up with Lucien, because love/friendship/family is what they both want. And Lucien deserves something good in his life for once. And that would be his mate. hashtag lets stop hurting lucien 2018

what i really want now is that the next book take place in the autumn court... i feel like there is where more things where left unanswer like with lucien and who his father is, if elain will acept the bond and eris (i low key think eris is not all bad and he might end up being nice) also vassa the fire queen she kinda seems friendly towards lucien so i don´t know i really want more lucien i loved him from the get go and need more of poor lucien i want him to be happy

I really liked the book, and I would've really annoyed with the open-endedness of it if I didn't know there were other books coming.. but at the same time there are so many things up in the air and only 3 books confirmed (i think) that I'm not sure how Maas will be able to fit everything, especially when some of the novels might even take place in the past. As for the resurrection thing, I don't think its super viable for High Lords to be resurrected all the time since this time it was only possible because Feyre herself was a High Lady and was able to give Rhys his own bit of power, but this can all be changed if the High Lords decide to bandwagon with Rhys and say to hell with their traditions and start having their wives finally be High Ladies ahaha. I really really want one of the spinoff novels to be about Lucien and Helion, cause damn it Lucien deserves to know he has a pretty cool dad and that he's not related to Beron in any way! I'm also curious about Queen Vassa's story, but I don't know if I'm curious enough to want a whole book about it lol No matter what they're about I'm going to be jumping in my seat for the first release next year!

I like that Sarah writes imperfect characters. For that reason I have words for Mor 😂 stop playing with my with my baby boys heart! I also questioned daddy suddenly showing up out of no where. I didn’t cry when Rhys died because it was pretty obvious that he would be brought back. My only other issue with the book was the fact that no one important died. Ever since we saw Rhys at the beginning of ACOMAF looking for his friends bodies on the battle field I’ve been expecting someone huge to die. I thought it was Amren which would have been a beautiful sacrificial death. Nope. Conveniently brought back to life. I gave the book 4 stars!

Aww I just finished it last night! And I agree that the book was left really open-ended, like who does Elain end up with? What happens with Nessian? Does Lucien ever find out Helion is his father? But I think Sarah did that on purpose so more stories are possible in the future. We'll just have to wait and see I guess. And I totally thought the same thing after Elain mentioned Cassain's death... I spent the entire book worrying in the back of my head if he would die. And at the end when Nesta and him faced the king of hybern I thought they were going to die.

I did also think that the High Lords could or would start bringing people back a lot now but it does take away part (no matter how small) of their power and I think since Rhys DID save everyone along with Feyre from that black void from the cauldron that they deemed him acceptable of helping him on the slim chance they had to bring him back t life.

Like I hated him for so long but now... Idk. Nesta and Amren (and Suri obvi) actually ended up being my two favorite characters in the books! I enjoyed their snarky comments lol. I'm pretty sure SJM left some of the things in the end of the book unresolved on purpose. I saw her on the book tour and she added that last page saying that 'the series would continue' because she didn't want everyone thinking it was just happily ever after. Great review! I got really mad at the scene after Feyre had gone and sorta tricked Mor into letting her go to find the suriel. When Mor demanded to know where Feyre had gone and when she was telling her off about how the courts relationship was built on trust.. how mor said she would have let Feyre go if she had asked… FEYRE LITERALLY WAS LIKE “I’ve had enough, imma head out.” and more was like “No, you ain’t getting off easy like u did with Rhysand.” LIKE WTF FEYRE! Mor was clearly angry because she was worried about your well being, you said u were sorry, and if u truly were sorry then u would accept the lecture. AND SHE FRICKING brought up Az, saying that Mor was lying everyday! Bruh that’s not the same as lying about where ur going in the middle of a war! Mor can lie however she wants if it’s HER personal love life. HOW COULD SHE WANT TO WALK AWAY AND THEN BRING UP THAT?!?! She was terrible to Mor. Ik she apologized after, but that stuck with me. However I enjoyed the book lol.

In general, I liked the series. But I also didn't like how Rhys died and was brought back to life. I just thought that made it too easy and that death wasn't a real fear for any of the characters. I thought they tried to match up too many characters with a romantic partner too, which I just don't think is necessary. I thought that there are too many easy rescues in the book where Feyre and her friends are about to lose and then out of nowhere help comes. There are a few other problems too, but overall I still found in enjoyable.

Also..Cassian and Nesta..I didn't understand what happened to them like..they pretty much admitted how they felt during the final battle right? But then they didn't speak anymore..so I'm a bit confused.. like did,perhaps a mating bond snap into place? Or...i really don't know what happened with those two. AND of course Elain, Lucien and Azriel, I totally agree with you when it comes to them. I don't know who i want her to be with.. The only reason feyrah and Rhys were able to come survive "death" is because they weren't actually dead,yet. They both were hanging on to there mating bond, when they were dying. It gave the both of them the time to be healed by the other high lords, and lady.

I think it makes sense that the High Lords can bring another High Lord back this time and not others because this is the first time there's been a High Lady and if she wasn't there to represent the Night Court, they would never have been able to bring Rhysand back. That's my thought about that, I dunno.

I didn't like how involved Nesta and Elain where in this book! I hated almost both their characters since the first book where they did nothing as they watched Feyre try to keep them alive and fed. Nesta even managed to kinda even bully Feyre in the first book. and I think they never redeemed themselves for that. And in this book Nesta again was just a distant , cold hearted bitchy person and I think she doesnt desreve Cassian at all.

i dont recall any lbgt+ in the first book or 'day 1' ? like youre saying she killed off 2 POC (later elana revealed nehemia died so aelin would do something to help the world???), excluded a main character from a full book when he was disabled taking another poc out of that story as well - she has not had a positive portrayal of diversity her characters are usually always white (but just about always tanned), straight, body able and very very attractive its a fantasy world she has no restrictions yet it seems shes imposed them on herself i think i was 17 when i first read ToG over 3 years ago and I got pretty invested in the books only know have i realised the lack in representation
@Isabel-lp3vb
@Isabel-lp3vb 7 жыл бұрын
I understand your points, but I was saying these characters are usually minor roles (emrys/malekai)/ killed off (nehemia and sorsha)/ excluded (i was talking about nesryn in my previous comment and chaol when he wasnt able-bodied) It is mentioned as well that Rifthold is meant to be a home to a lot of refugees and also a large trading centre so id say there'd be people from all over Im not saying there is no representation at all, Im saying its not very good. trust me i know and appreciated any rep we got (emrys, malekai, adeon and lysandra (although i would like to see some bi rep where they were single and out mingling)) It was improved within her more recent books which is great to see - itd be good to see a person of colour in a point of view position in her book also uptilted eyes doesnt really mean anything, there are many people in East Asia, and there are variety of eye shapes among East Asian people as well calling a certain eye shape ‘slanted’, ‘almond-shaped’, ‘hooded’, or whatever is fine, in my opinion, but let’s not define a certain eye shape ‘Asian’ you cant really say that because the night court is north thats why they are white?(it has beautiful nights but its not only night)? there are seasonal regions in prythian, the weather is magical i dont think night court really should have racial limitations winter and summer court make sense for the majority to lighter or darker respectively but its said people traveled freely between the courts before the wars and also its faerie land like ?? as i said above - its a fantasy world she has no restrictions yet it seems shes imposed them on herself luciens from autumn court in the spring court people move around

Yes he claimed he wanted to beg for forgiveness, but I'm just not buying that. I loved this book, however, it wasn't as good as ACOMAF which was just amazing. Theme of the books: Everyone - That thing is a killing machine, it's dangerous don't go near it. Feyre- Puppy!! The Suriel is the fandoms bff gossip girl. IF that scream for Cassian wasn't a mating bond slapping her in the face idk what else it was. The other Faires and the ships was a stretch for me too, did not like it. Maybe if the timing was different? Oh shit, what is Azriel gave her the dagger because he knew she would have to kill Hybern. I bet anything he had shadows listening to her when she was babbling nonsense and out of it and he figured it out. Yes, Rhys bring back was also too much.
