A cozy book shop & the sweetest snowcone lady. Books & Snowcones for all occasions.

The day was Saturday. It was mellow, the mood was light and peaceful, when "books" popped into my mind! It was then I realized that a trip to The Olde Book Shoppe was needed. The excitement on the ducklings' faces could hardly be contained and that excitement grew and grew as we got closer to the Shoppe. The owner Ms. Omela Sookdeo and her trusted employee, Saleena work passionately to ensure that the warmth of the Shoppe is perpetuated and felt by all who visit. The books fed our soul and we left there feeling very content, but, I made a promise to the sweetest snow cone lady ever. She is a mother of all. Promises must be kept and that I did. J-Lee's Brain Freeze snow cone and ice-cream stall will be seeing us again. Enjoy!

Those dolls gonna be great readers like their momma! Ellis I saw a video of you reading to students from your old school, I believe.... just awesome! Reading was one of my favorite past times when i was around Sydney' s age. Always wanted to come 1st, 2nd or 3rd in test in 'primary'/elementary school, just to get a book or pen. Those were the days. Had to study Jane Eyre in Literature, now Im hooked on Bridgerton 🧐 😂 Once again, you have rekindled my memory. Thank you🤗

Come and read in my jardin! My robins will serenade you all and the finches will say hello. Hydrangeas are in full BLOOM and so is my Roses. My favorite space to read is in my garden, just finished Liz Cheney’s “ Oath of Honor.” That snow cone….what I would do for one, Mexicans make it here in NY too, but I prefer homes. It’s ridiculously sweet here and condensed milk makes it a diabetic coma waiting to happen.🥴 that coffee one has my name on it👈🏽

Those are great reads. I must revisit the woodlanders 🙏🏻. Many parallels between the environment and humans were exquisitely captured by Hardy. The old man and the sea will forever take my breath away. 💯💪🙌🏻👏🌟😃 📖 📕

Those bookstores are gold; also thrift-stores as well. Once i found an Agresti luxury pen display in a thrift store for $2 ! YES TWO DOLLARS ! I had a good feeling about it, so I bought it. Got home, did my research and voila: that size was reselling for $250! Say J-A-C-K-P-O-T 5 times fast haha !!! Wonderful day out, I never understand why some folks think we NEED a lot of money to have fun - simplicity is the ultimate sophistication! Get dressed, jump in the car, stop for a sno-cone, buy some preloved books, share love and smiles! Ahhh laboring in love ! It costs little & we gain PRICELESS memories :) See ya on the next one.
