How to make pepperoni pizza at home
Here’s the recipe
Homemade Pizza Sauce Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon salt1/4 teaspoon
black pepper
Pinch of sugar (optional, to balance acidity)
Instructions:
Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in crushed tomatoes and stir to combine.
Add dried oregano, dried basil, salt, pepper, and sugar (if using). Stir well.
Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce heat to low.
Let the sauce simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to your desired consistency.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before using it as pizza sauce.

Instructions:
Making the Pizza Dough:

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Assembling and Baking the Pizza:
Preheat your tawa (flat pan) over medium heat.
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a circle or rectangle, depending on your preference.
Carefully transfer the rolled-out dough to the preheated tawa.
Spread the prepared pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
Arrange pepperoni slices evenly on top of the cheese.
Cover the tawa with a lid and cook on medium-low heat for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown and crispy on the bottom.
If you prefer a crispy top, you can also finish the pizza under a broiler for 1-2 minutes.
