I invested in a portable washer that hooks up to the sink .and an electric dryer that vents out a window. I went to the hardware store and bought a dolly with wheels so I could easily move the washer to the sink and I also bought a thingamajig to put in the window for the dryer hose Best buys ever and they have saved me a TON of money, time and hassle.

I was doing vlogmas last year and then all of a sudden my views dropped and they haven’t been the same ever since, until a couple of months ago when I started doing a travel series that was successful. You are such an inspiration for me. I've been following you since you've had about 5-8k subs in 2021, maybe 2022? I don't remember but you feel like a friend to me. I am baffled by how organized, productive and successful you've become. You will for sure hit that 100k goal next year for sure!! I believe in you. I always enjoy your vlogs. Yes, the year flew. Our daughter Leah lives in another city. I try to see her at least twice a month to eat lunch or supper with her and visit her & her two cats (she stays busy -I text her often, though). She visits here at our house only a few times a year (it is an hour south almost of her) but when she comes, I tell her to bring her dirty laundry. She uses a laundry mat and they are expensive and it takes a long time. I understand why you wanted to do that. Taking just the backpack was probably a lot easier. Weird how it was so empty at a holiday there! Hope you had a great trip seeing your grandparents & parents. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them in your vlogs. Your kitties were so cute getting in your luggage. It’s fine about vlogmas-I think it’s too much pressure to do it!

Good call on not doing Vlogmas. If the ROI is not there, no need to overwhelm yourself. Also agree with backpack instead of laundry carryon luggage lol. If you were driving home to NJ/CT or something, bringing laundry would make sense. Also with just a backpack, you have the option of taking the subway to/from the airport if you really wanted to save time and money.

Random question: when you’re going to an airport from your place, is it substantially easier to take a rideshare than to take public transit? I assumed taking a car would be more of a hassle on a heavy traffic day than doing, like, the subway and the airtrain to JFK. (But I only ever travel to NYC via Amtrak, never by plane, so I have no idea!)

so for me specifically and where i am located, a car is easiest to LGA because i would have to take a subway to the bus to another bus and tbh the money is worth it to avoid so many transfers lol, but if i fly out of Newark or JFK public transit is easier! but most of my flights are usually out of LGA haha

I hope you had fun in Dayton, Ohio for Thanksgiving. I always wonder why you always say just “Ohio” when you travel home to see your parents instead of mentioning the city specifically. For example, most people don’t say that they are going to Texas or New York State. They would mention the city 😂 LOL, just an observation.

lol this is mostly because when I go to Ohio I am all over the place. I grew up in Columbus, but my parents moved to a suburb of Cincinnati when I was in college and have moved a few times before settling into their house, and each place was in a different town. And then whenever I go see them in Cincinnati, I still typically drive 2 hours and visit Columbus, Dublin and Powell to see family. So instead of listing 10 cities it feels easier to just say Ohio and it’s more digestible for people who aren’t familiar with the state. My family doesn’t even live in Dayton, it’s just an airport I fly into that gets me close enough haha

Just from one point of view, I don’t need artistic vlogs, so you might be wasting your time. (I think you are.) I think we enjoy seeing your life. More important is regular video posting, which you have been much better at of late. Congrats. I appreciate it. Second, if you don’t love journaling, don’t force it. I am an author for many, many years. Writing should not be a chore. You don’t have to do something you aren’t motivated to do. Your videos are great but we don’t come to YT for art. We want to see a slice of life. Perhaps rethink where you are investing your time and energy. Have a great day!
