I realized how much I enjoy when you put your videos out because I watch them as I get ready for church. 1) I too think about the fan flying off the ceiling 😂. 2) Last Sunday my pastor had a sermon about the Christian and politics, and he said we have a dual citizenship; a US citizen and a citizen of Heaven.

Hang in there, I’m with you. I needed to connect with another mom today and remember Christ and family. You helped me do that today so thank you ❤!

Another great video! I feel like we’re friends. 😊 As a fellow toddler mom, I’m sure you’ve tried everything for those early wakeups. But because we’ve recently found a fix for ours, I thought I’d share anyway! My 2.5 year old has alllllways struggled to sleep in and we’d often have 5:00 wakeups. We implemented the Hatch red light/green light thing, and it did take a few weeks to work, but honest to goodness it works so well now and we survived Daylight Saving with no issues! He sleeps with the red light on and when it turns green at 6:15 it’s essentially an alarm clock for him. I often see him stirring before it’s green, but the second it turns green he stands up ready to start his day! It makes so much sense to me now that before we started this, he had no way of knowing what time it was or if it was okay to get up yet! I hope this works for you!! Stick with it for a few weeks if it doesn’t take right away. Sending luck! 🤞🏻❤️

Lovely blog Emma! ❤ things I did with my son during the colder months was a music class - which he absolutely still loves to this day and drop in programs for kids that are free in the community kind of like the library but they were in a variety of locations ☺️ you got this!!

Hi Emma, thanks you for another blog, they are inspiring! God is using you in ways you have yet to understand. It has been mentioned here but a children's museum or bounce house like place would be a good outing. Kindermusic is available around the country, too. Good suggestions all! I wanted to say ditto to some and thanks!

I’m not religious whatsoever but I genuinely enjoy watching your content. I think what lands a little poorly for folks about what you’re saying (referring to the instagram post) is that for so many people, it doesn’t feel like God (or any positive higher power) is protecting them. So, when someone says that ultimately we trust in God, it implies that the way things are - which are directly and immediately harmful to a lot of folks - is somehow righteous or at least preordained and thus we have to just deal. I’m not saying that’s what you mean, but trying to offer a nonreligious perspective about how that kind of thing lands to someone who is feeling pretty scared. It’s like saying someone’s in a better place when they die. Maybe Christian folks genuinely believe that to be true, but it doesn’t address the pain their loved ones feel right now. Anyway, I hope that this perspective is helpful or at least interesting to you! Wishing you and your family well.

This is so true and so nicely explained without being rude. I am the same, not a Christian but enjoy her content, but it just rubs me the wrong way that it’s like we just leave all the suffering (which will genuinely be happening bc of the next president) as is. Thank you for your comment!

That is completely understandable to feel scared. We do not have the same knowledge or powers as God so we do not know everything like he does. However, the reason we’re called to not be scared is because God has the most power and authority. The book of Romans in the Bible was written during a time when a ruler set Christians on fire for what they believed and yet the book of Romans talks about to obey authorities, live in peace with everyone and trust that God will bring justice. I struggled for a long time with the same things you mentioned because my sister passed away when I was a kid. God has shown me that we do live in a broken world but he put himself on the earth as Jesus so we can be saved through him. I was angry with God for a long time and have lived in fear off and on; however, I have seen God miraculously answer my prayers in a way that no one could have done. God says we will face trouble in this world but take heart because he has overcome it. He promises to help us through it and I have seen that personally in my life. I highly encourage you to look up Harris Creek. They are doing a series on peace talks and this church has completely changed the way I live. I have so much peace in my life because I’m constantly reminded that Jesus died for me despite how broken I am and that because of Him there is nothing greater. Try praying and see the miracles God does. He loves you and cares for you and desires a relationship with you. Praying for your peace today 🤍

Love your chatty vlogs and the facetime feel of it! If your town has a discovery center or something like it it might be a good time to get a membership, bounce places, maybe like the YMCA. Hope that helps!

You should look into trampoline parks that have toddler hour. I know that Ohio has some great children’s museums that offer teacher discounts and for small children to get into for free. I also really love the Science center Which is another place that has a teacher discount and free children’s tickets for young kids.

My mom was a great Christian woman, but I often wish she would’ve stepped out of her Jesus bubble and nurtured our relationship as much she nurtured her relationship with the lord. She treated him like a crutch, not a vitamin. She was also depleted and exhausted and took it out on us quite often. I wish she would’ve gone to therapy as much as she went to church. I hope you can find peace, parenting is a tough road.
