I try my best to get out on the lake, river, or creek to catch some fish for my channel whether it be hot or cold, and even raining and snow. I am trying to go out to catch something if I can! It takes a lot of effort and time and searching for fish to catch! I am blessed to abale to catch some fish to make a short video or a longer fishing trip video. The reason for crappie holding up on bridge columns when it cold is because the sun will cool the concrete up some and little of heat comes off the column and the crappie will stage up right on the columns! Yes I changed over to the slip bobber because the minnow was swimming to fast and couldn't keep it in one place long enough. Once I changed over to a slip cork I got a hit right away. The minnow stayed put longer for them crappie. I ran out of minnows and figured I would drop a jig down and see what happens before I head out of the lake. The jig did its job and was happy that I could catch something to show that jigs will work if you don't have minnows. May not catch more on jigs but they will work. @fishingwithfredo Thanks bro! It was a good day at Lewisville lake. That was real windy day and I almost didn't make it across the lake it was so bad. So I drove the kayak and made but I so scared but luckily I did make to that part of the lake. This covert worked out some because it was blocking most of the wind coming my direction. Luckily I was able to pull some up to make a video. I wanted to fish some timber out there but the wind was not letting me go down the lake. Because that spot I know there would be alot of crappie hanging around. I wasn't able to make that drive on the water so I chose the spot to fish for that place. I will get to the better spot another day. Hope you can get the boat running soon! Take care bro!🙏👍👊💯

@pistolcreek Thanks bro for the comment! It can be a struggle at at times but after searching for a bit I am able to find them and able to get some to bite. That day was real windy and very hot! Luckily I found a place that was blocking the wind and some what of the sun. I managed to get a few into the kayak to make content for my subscribers and others that watch my content. @fsupoutdoors I was excited I got minnows this time but then on that was another problem I had. It was the wind was outrageous and making big waves. The place I was going to fish was way far away and the waves and wind wasn't going to let me get there. The wind calmed down some for a bit so I hooked it across the lake for a shorter ride and made it there. Not the place I had in mind but it was good enough to fish out of the wind. I was so happy that I was able to find some crappie to make a video. It was a good day after all. In the back of my mind I was thinking how was I going to get back through all the waves. Took in alot of water but made back safely. Over all I was happy to catch a few and I was able to make content. Thanks again for making the stop and supporting the channel! Take care🎣💯👍👊

what size battery are you using for the trolling motor?

It's a rv battery 12volt. Ever Start 27DC 800 marine cracking amps 80 Amp hour @20 hrs this battery is heavy but it last me a good 8 hours on the water. I use the trolling motor the whole time because I use spot lock when I make it to my fishing spot. So im constantly using the trolling motor all day of fishing. I have run out of juice on the battery but when that happens the trolling motor will lock in forward mode and then i would have to use the paddles to direct me back to the car. So this has happened twice since I got the battery and that has been 3 years now. So I would love a lighter battery but I will stick with this one until it this one completely dies on me, but it's been a great battery and for 3 years I would say a darn good heavy battery. 👍

@@Fishing_with_Domingo Thanks Sir , that is some great info. Actually what I was looking for. I am setting up my jon boat and it came with a 24v trolling motor so I am having to use two of them. Thats is a extra 100 pounds. This is actually the same battery that I came up with , 27dc. I have yet to put the boat in the water which is why I asked to kind of gauge what I have. All the rage now is lipo batteries which are half the weight and triple the cost BUT are supposed to last twice as long as lead so the price might be justified. Still kind of hard to get a 700 dollar lipo battery. Stay safe out there , I am actually in the same area of Texas as you

Glad I could give some information that that you could work with on your set up. I thought about the same thing on them lipo batteries and I'm like that's pretty steep on the cash. I mean don't get wrong I would love to get one because they weigh next to nothing and yes your correct they do last longer. For now I'm rolling with what I have for now.
