I'm not lost. But I was also a bike mechanic for years and I was fixing my own flats when i was 8 years old. My Grandpa taught me how to use a patch kit and somehow I remembered and started doing it my self. Though being a 8 year old it was really hard for me to tighten the back tire on the chain side and the axle would always slip and the tire would rub. By the time I was 10 years old I was strong enough to tighten it down.

Just put in an order for a 2019 GT Pro Performer 26'' which comes with a 22 top tube. The stock post is a laid back Dayglo Pink. Would like to change it out to a modern pivotal setup or a standard road bike aluminum alloy rig with rail clips. Aftermarket laidback 22 posts are hard to come by where I am from (Thailand)

Back in the day we use to run Our seat clamps low so the seat tube wouldn't crack .

I had the same problem i made a shim from cans then bout amonth later i found a stinger styler layback post on an old bike it was a layback post but a burner size .

I had a fit trl that i never moved the seatpost on and bout a year later after rideing dirt and useing it as a daily rider i needed to move the seat the allen head sheared off coz of that i carry a spare seat clamp in my bag lol

I'm fat, and don't wanna overtighten and break my built on clamp... could I add a 25.4mm clamp onto the post to help keep it from sliding down as a ride and sit on the seat...? Riding the bike helps with the being fat part.... can't wait for spring....

a crazy fact you didnt know about bmx frames...... they used to have the same seat tube diameter as your bars, we went up cause seat posts werent strong enough..... #BarsShouldGoOversized they used to need press in cups for the headset and bb. they used to have these weird lugs on them for these hand devices called brakes. they used to have this one with a giant built in bash guard.
