This is, oddly enough, near and dear to my heart. Dad was an engineer at GM and worked on these B7s; I have pictures of us - me as a child - posing on a GMT530 B7 chassis mockup at Truck & Bus in Pontiac - just off Woodward, go figure. Dad was always pissed at the Bluebird exclusivity contract. I wanted to ride them as a kid but our local agencies here in Michigan seemed to only buy from Thomas.

Awesome video! Our school had a 2003 model, it was a Bluebird Chevy with the CAT3126 and I believe an Allision if I recall correctly. We loved that bus. It was an excellent spare until it was retired back in 2018. Keep up the excellent work! - Kody

Before I moved to NC I was living in New Jersey. I’d see these buses all the damn time back when I was in elementary school. These were my type of back in the day buses and I’m sad that I don’t see them as often as I did when I was younger. A back seat ride would be nice for old times sake if possible.

the school bus company I rode on had a few of these Bluebirds (except they were Chevys), air brakes, one was numbered 9 and had a pretty beat up AT545 and a 3126, the other was bus 5 with a 2500 and squeaky brakes that could be heard from 5 blocks away. This brings back memories

lol these were my district's spare buses until 2014 when our 2000 special ed GMC Bluebird 081 turned 14 years old and got sold also had cat 3126
