Played an hour yesterday. I can't believe I'm saying this but Silent Hill 2make has the POTENTIAL to be better than the OG. Certainly the first hour was. I saw some people say the game is "padded" but I much, much prefer the slow burn horror and expanded town. The sound design is the best part - the music grinds down your sanity bit by bit and there appear to be hundreds of triggers for small sound effects like chains rattling, moans, wind, animals, etc.

Have you heard a woman taking a gasping breath randomly anywhere? That keeps happening to me anywhere it’s super quiet.

I love how long the game is. Unlike Resident evil 3 remake. Game lasted 5 hours tops. With SH2, im getting my moneys worth

@@gunnerchel yes, several times. it's very short, leaves you wondering if you heard anything at all.
@ashgonza9216 күн бұрын
@@gunnerchel there are sound effects that get triggered depending on your "good" and "bad" karma actions. like healing yourself or looking at the corpses and letters james left behind from the OG game

Fantastic tune, reflecting James' calm yet twisted flow of thought.

Great work, Midwich. I love this, that soft, dark, moody, slow swelling sounds...feels good.

your videos always calms my mind after each day. Every night, i put one of those ambient videos and it just puts you in such a state that i cannot even describe, i went through all sorts of periods with these. I truly love your content, it's amazing. You helped me go through a lot, i'm really thankful.❤

great channel. not like many other channels that ''sell'' lo-fi crap or ''easy listening'' (but difficult for our ears...😊) for ambient soundscapes. thank you, midwich music. love from Greece.

How are you enjoying the remake? So far I've only seen roughly the first 30 minutes, but it looks fantastic, contrary to my expectations.
@DaRkPlUm22 күн бұрын
I've just reached Woodside Apartments, having played about 90 mins of it after work yesterday. It's much scarier than I thought it would be, having played the original twice through. The over-shoulder perspective combined with the radio static trickery and tight level layouts are proving to make it quite a hair raising experience.
@mattblom399021 күн бұрын
It's really good through an hour. It "feels right". Like they somehow nailed the feeling of a 23 year old game with a very specific culture to it and updated and expanded it for 2024. Only an hour, but it's hooked me. I like the new James voice actor too and Angela isn't bad either despite her still-puffy cheeks.
