I think people like this creep, male and female, need to be taught the 'stop sign' lesson. Mark, the guy who tried to kiss you, is definitely a creep. It sounds like that he does not have a girlfriend and is desperate to find one. If that is not the case, then peer pressure or the need to inflate his ego seems to be a motive for his harmful actions against you. It is obviously not cool for someone to rush into a relationship, even after offering French fries unconditionally. He is the type of person who causes feelings of fear or unease. When painting himself as the victim in the situation you described in this video, he seems to shift the blame to you for his problems, which is a scumbag thing to do. Perception is not reality, and it is bad that people would view their perception of reality as reality itself. Invasion of your privacy is grounds for him to be punished by law. I mean, him demanding your number in exchange for his French fries makes me think that he has one of the dark personality traits: narcissism. Since Mark's advances were rejected by you, he needs to realize that he can find someone else while working on his social skills. Disappointment is a part of life, and he needs to remember that it is a momentary bump in his life. That means not allowing that bump to derail him and walk wounded. Why should he be defined by his past failures or by disappointment or by the rejection of others? He could have moved on and realized his mistakes or flaws. I am not sure what is going on in his life, but hopefully, he does not conduct himself like that with other people. I am not surprised if he remains that way. Mark being a narcissist means that he has a high level of selfishness, vanity, and pride. It means that he views the world as though he is an infant. The behavior patterns of a narcissistic person (as outlined in a diagnosis of Narcissistic Personality Disorder) are characterized as being the following: haughty, non-empathetic, manipulative, and envious; he also possesses a sense of entitlement (as in entitled to fame or having a particular person as his lover) and grandiosity. Pride blinds Mark to his own personal responsibility and accountability for his actions. If you ask me, he and his friends are a bunch of losers. The latter celebrating this type of behavior does not sound like true friendship. True friends help out each other, even in troubling times, and rebuke each other in love rather than malice. Mark's so-called friends did not criticize him for what he said and did to you. In addition, lying and giving false comfort and bad advice will not get them anywhere in life. They got problems and they need to deal with them instead of taking their frustrations out on others like you. There is a reason or so for why people should carefully choose who they associate with. I am glad that you handled this situation like a pro. Like you, I do not conversate with a lot of people all the time like a socialite. I know you did no wrong during your first job. Had you been taught by your employer about how to do your job and banned this creeper and his "friends", then you would have been a web manager longer. Things happen for a reason, although we do not always understand what the reason is. Stay strong and do not give anybody like Mark an inch. Generally giving to others out of the kindness of the heart is one thing, but doing that to score a kiss is a whole another thing. Based on my personal experience, I hate rushing into relationships. I have to take my time to get to know a person before making a commitment to a relationship (e.g., marriage). Rushing into it is a bad idea on so many levels. Also, I apologize for this post being long, but it is based on my thoughts about your situation.
