Before I write this just to clarify I'm not defending Rose's behaviour here. She was being extremely creepy and making Den feel uncomfortable. However I think Rose might have suffered a learning disability or was very self conscious to the point where she wanted to copy other people which I noticed one person commented. Considering the napkin with the writing and the fact Rose's mom had to drag her away after not being able to tell Den didn't want to be hugged or talk to Rose. Den, I'm sorry for what you went through it's not okay for anyone to be treated like that please keep up the good work and stay strong. Rose, I hope where ever you are now you're in a better place mentally and you've become more sure of yourself x

As someone who works with kids with autism, I couldn't agree more. My kiddos each have at least one thing that they obsess over, whether it be cars, airplanes, films, etc. Awkward doesn't necessarily mean dangerous or malicious. I wish KZbinrs considered mental health and didn't think someone looking at them wrong equaled stalking. Like there are people who are victims of actual domestic violence and stalking threats. I understand that this video is a few years old though. CypherDen if you're reading this, I hope you've grown since this video :)

I gotta say, a lot of people here seem to be blaming Den for not being honest with Rose and telling her she's not interested in a friendship, which enables her obsessive behaviors to continue. You can't really blame Den for doing something that is the most common reaction to an unexpected encounter. The people who blame Den have probably dealt with this type of crazy person before, but you've developed that skill solely by reflection on your own mistakes, which probably were the same ones that Den made. Crazy people come in all forms, and no one is ever fully prepared to deal with each case with an all-purpose reaction. It takes reflection to hone your skills of being blunt and honest, and be more suited for when you come across someone like this again in the future.

Den clearly made a mistake here, but haven't we all? We're all allowed to react irrationally in a situation that terrifies us. Hindsight's 20/20 and all that, but more than that you hear about people in situations similar to this who didn't make it out alive or at the very least have to change locations or phone numbers. You truly can't judge another person's actions in this situation even if you've been in a similar one because your situation was our own and their situation is theirs.

When someone becomes obsessed with you they don't really want to listen to reason. there was a girl who literally wanted to become me when I was in high school. Her name was Alex, and she was similar, if not worse than, Rose. I actually told her how she was bothering me, and that only made her more obsessed. The thing about stockers is that they want something from you and will stop at nothing to get it. It's more than social awkwardness. I suffer from social awkwardness, but try to learn about people's boundaries and social norms. there are some people out there that well actually get mad if you tell them. So please stop judging her for her dramatic experience with Rose.

It was pretty fucking dramatic. If someone is stalking you via social media, or in real life. I suggest going to the Police. Secondly, blocking her was so fucking pointless. You need to speak up and say with a serious tone about why you don't want to continue to hang out for her, and explain your reasoning. If she still doesn't listen, that is the moment you need to get the POLICE involved. When she said "Rose" was following all her social medias and watching her videos, I was so dumbfounded. So, what you are telling me is if I follow my favorite youtubers, and watch and read their posts 2 minutes from their upload, that is considered stalking? I actually had someone think I was a stalker when I was actually trying to avoid them. Long story short, they stopped talking to me, I felt bad and decided to try to work it out when I really didn’t want to, things got out of hand real quick and the rest of my final semester in college was a mess. I wasn’t even stalking them, I just took bad advice from friends. I ended up texting them not long ago because I graduated and wanted to move on just to explain everything because it got really weird and the more I tried to fix it and avoid them, it somehow got even worse. Now I have anxiety and hope to never see again. It just freaks me out knowing that someone probably thought I was stalking them and sending that text was probably even worse but I deleted their number so that’s good. As long as I don’t see them again, I’m fine. This led me to realize that I shouldn’t take advice if it goes against my intuition. I wanted to not talk to them again but I decided that maybe this friendship was worth it. Bad choice… I feel like this person thought I wanted to talk to them but in actuality I was running away from them. Most of these problems came from me having social anxiety and being really insecure so I made things a lot worse than I needed to. And while I don’t recommend sending messages to people who might think you’re stalking them, it made me feel better in the end. I couldn’t stalk someone even if I wanted to. The idea of doing that scares me and gives me anxiety. Just watching this video gave me anxiety and I wish I could take it all back. When I say that this is stuff that you would see on tv I really mean it. How I got myself into situation like that still haunts me to this day…

Actually, her behavior went far beyond that. It may have started that way(just envy) but allowing that behavior (herself, family, friends for whatever reason, lack of awareness, etc.) to continue just made it worse until it crossed the line and become delusional. She needs professional help to give her a reality check and get her back to her 'normal' self.
