+jarod waldron This is an awesome track. Try reading the N.T. The gospel writers had Jesus predict he would return in the first century. The author of 2 Peter 3v3 tried to make excuses as to why Jesus hadn't returned as predicted. If Jesus had been real then he would have stayed after his alleged resurrection and set up a glorious kingdom using supernatural powers to bring law and order, health and happiness, You would still see him to this day and there would be nothing to doubt. Instead it looks like the Bible writers were making stuff up. In any case if the O.T. stories were true, such as 1 Cor 21 where the Lord could send a plague to wipe out 70,000 Israelites or send an Angel to start destroying Jerusalem then why didn't he use those talents down through history to wipe out the tyrants before they committed genocide ? It is God who is most guilty of failing to use the talents people claim he had. Is he just imaginary ?

+zytigon Because the OT and the NT are 1. You simply can't understand the NT, without the OT. A way towards God lies within yourself. God in the OT&NT is a God of liberation, not a God of destruction, nor a God of fear and punishment. There's also a large difference between the meaning of justice in our current society and the one in Bible. (further read (Jesaja/Isaiah 52,13-53,11)). The gospel writers indeed predicted He (Jesus) would return in the 1st century but Jesus answered in Acts 1: "When they therefore were come together , they asked of him, saying , Lord *, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power." Now I've said that, I understand your arguments, but the Bible isn't a history-book. It's a interpretation of the Word of God. With lots of symbolic words and meanings. So don't take it too literally...

I discovered this show on late Sunday night TV a couple of weeks ago. In Australia it is called "AD Kingdom and Empire', a better name in my opinion, I suppose referring to the Kingdom of God and the World's greatest empire at the time. I am not religious but I found the show fascinating, with characters I remember from Catholic school all those decades ago brought to life - Pilate, Ciaiphus, Apostles, the Magdelaine... As for the main theme - can't get enough of it.
