Eugenics is an active movement to this day. We should not limit our focus to history but also current events. Eugenics is alive and well and the the medical "establishment" is still deeply involved.

I agree, as a disabled, chronically ill patient. The attitudes and level of care I receive now, compared to 30 years ago, is astonishing. People need to be aware, to self-advocate. The medical field isn't serving the greater good anymore. They are looking at their bottom line. I've had 3 docs retire, early, because they couldn't stand the medical culture and what it had become. That's saying something. Covid only made things worse. Please be vigilant about your health care. You need to be in control. It might save your life. God bless.

You speak the truth. I do believe the original name of the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation was "Bill and Melinda Gates foundation for population control" I'm blown away that the one gentleman said that progressives in the early 1900s were different than the progressives today because the progressives in the early 1900s believed that because they were rich and educated they knew what was best for the rest of the country I literally spit my tea out I laughed so hard when he said that with a straight face.!!

I can remember back in late 70's to the very early part of the 80's, my aunt, grandma, mom, & one of my cousins having hysterectomies within just a couple years of each other. I was either a preteen or early teenager & I was VERY concerned!! I asked my mom and grandma, "Is there something you're not telling me that I SHOULD know?? Am I going to have to have one, too??" And somewhere around 1996-98 I also went to a Planned Parenthood in order to get some type of birth control. I had NEVER had an abnormal pap before, & I haven't had one since then. But, Planned Parenthood told me my pap was abnormal and that I was IN stage 4 of uterine cancer!! They even called me back into their office to tell me (because they wouldn't tell me over the phone) and under the guise of retesting me. They told me that the 2nd test ALSO showed up abnormal & that I needed to get a hysterectomy as soon as possible. Thank God I did NOT just take what they were saying as "the gospel", & I went to another doctor to get a 2nd opinion!!! I guess because I was a single parent at the time and wasn't as rich as they would have liked, I didn't make the grade for the class of women who SHOULD be "allowed" to procreate. 🙄 Fast forward a few years later, my daughter went there to get birth control. Although I went with her (because I didn't like, trust, nor believe ANY of the garbage falling out of their mouths), because she was 18 years old, they would NOT let me go back & accompany my daughter to speak with the doctor regarding HER "abnormal" results!!! I wasn't asking to be in the room during her examination. I just wanted to be there in order to hear what the doctor had to say about her diagnosis & prognosis, and exactly what their plans were to help her. Because you know when you're already upset & about to hear bad news about your health, sometimes you may not hear everything they're saying, hear everything correctly, or you may not remember to ask them all of the right questions. In my soul, & now that I've seen this video, I believe they LIED to my aunt, grandma, mom, & cousin about them "NEEDING" hysterectomies. If it wasn't for the fact that I went to get a 2nd opinion, I may have had one, too!! And if that had occured, I would not have my 2 wonderful teenaged sons today!!!! Just that thought INFURIATES me!!!!! I guess they saw the "deer in the head lights" look on my daughter's face, and that's WHY they wouldn't permit me to go back to speak to the doctor with her. They wanted to get her alone, scare the crap out of her, & get her signed up for a hysterectomy, too!!! Maybe they all felt that my family just wasn't in the "correct" income bracket in order to take the risk that we might procreate. I have absolutely NOTHING nice to say about Planned Parenthood!! ESPECIALLY after seeing this video about the dirty, underhanded crap they did WITH the US government!!! They stripped way TOO MANY women's GOD GIVEN rights to have children!! WHO in the hell do they THINK they are?!? THEY can NOT make those decisions!!!! Leave those ONLY up to God!! They may have helped a handful of women over the years.... But, I am 100% positive that the percentage of those they DID help is a LOT lower than the percentage of women who were advised they needed these unnecessary hysterectomies!!! And the decisions were made ONLY because of the color of their skin or because the women fell into the "WRONG" income bracket!!!! But, I guess, what SHOULD I expect from ANYBODY who actually "INSPIRED" that insane nut case demon, Adolph Hitler?!?! One can only hope that she's burning in the hottest part of hell with him!!!

Very powerful. I am glad you commented. Im glad you were strong. They had no right to not allow you to be with your daughter. It was up to her to decided. Yes I understand that it could have been a controlling parent situation but then she would have had to find a way back alone. Harvesting, I am sorry to say also accomplishes both sterilization and attaining transplants and tissue for illegal procedures and experiments for people and products.

The issue isn't left or right, conservative or progressive; it IS an issue with bad science and people not willing to question the ethics of the "experts". Lest we forget, this came from the experts FIRST--information, then advice. We MUST be willing (and able) to question those considered experts. Science is only good when it can STAND UP to questioning.

no, actually, it is "left or right". objectively. eugenics was pushed by capitalists, it was defended by ivy league judges and it was implemented by millionaire owned governments. conservatives, liberals and social democrats were chomping at the bit to implement these laws communists, trade unionists and anarchists opposed them.

Unfortunately, we are seeing the very same thing today. See how pseudoscience gender fluidity is being promoted by medical doctors? They are based on very weak studies with no scientific basis, but still being promoted as truth. Lots of children are being sterilized in that way. Happening at this very moment.

No, it is absolutely a Progressive issue. The revisionists on the Left would like you to believe it is not " Right or Left" but that is demonstrably false. The Progressives adopted this idea, they pushed this idea, they tried to legislate this idea. Read Edwin Black's ' The War on the Weak". It documents clearly who owns this ideology, and who fought against it.

As we discussed this subject maybe it would be good take a moment to understand how little we understand about what we often judge as weeds in the natural world. When Mount Saint Helen blew up and destroyed thousands of acres of forest there was an environmental disaster in the making. Then a weed an inconsequential plant came to mother's nature rescue it's common name is fireweed. We now know why the native Americans named it fireweed it doesn't do well in a forest like that surrounded Mount St Helens but it does extraordinarily well in the environment created by an exploding volcano. We like to sit around as human beings and believe we are wiser than the Creator but time and time again history has shown we are the fools. Until the extraordinary circumstances created by that exploding volcano fireweed appeared to be a throwback a waste of space a useless thing. Now we know it was a safety to keep one disaster from becoming far greater than it would have been without fireweed. So what leads us to believe that a person having one mental capacity or set of talents is somehow less important than another. Maybe the so-called imbeciles are the creators fireweed who will pull humanities rear end out of the fire if we manage to do something stupid. The fundamental mistake they made and we are still making is we think law should be based on science. Yet science itself tells us we don't know enough to truly understand what's coming next. Time and again as the excerpts from the film clearly show, science marches on new discoveries are made and we awaken to a horrifying nightmare born of human arrogance! The answer is simple indeed it has been around for at least 250 years. As far as the law is concerned we are all the same. Yes in practice some of us seem to be superior to others. Even if that's true the superiority should not have an advantage created by law. I'm not much of a golfer probably has to do with the fact that I've only played nine holes and only hit two buckets of balls. So a professional golfer if they are truly Superior at golf than me should have an incredibly easy time beating me at golf. Think of how insane indeed insulting it would be to a professional golfer to find out that in a game with me because he's Superior his first 20 strokes won't be counted. If these elits are truly better than the rest of us they should have no problem if the rules (the law) are the same. If they can't handle that then they are admitting they are our inferiors!

Very well said. I believe, and only gets stronger day by day, that these elites are the fools in society. They have power because they snatch it. They don’t earn it. That way the common man has more power which is why they are afraid of the people and devise schemes to control us. A bunch of imbeciles who can’t create anything, build anything, innovate, improvise, repurpose anything, but sit around allowing their wild imaginations to run create philosophies that even they don’t understand at times, are not powerful at all. They are fools and need to be treated as such.

Yes God is completely in charge and so very much in the life of our family in the most amazing way. Our eldest daughter, sixty years old yesterday thank God, through medical negligence at birth was very badly brain damage and as a result very severely mentally and physically handicapped and also non verbal. Almighty God knows the end from the beginning knew that twenty years later as a result as a crisis in her life was looking for prayer support and led by the Holy Spirit to a Christian Prayer Meeting at which I was saved, born again, all sins washed in the Precious Blood of Jesus and filled with His Holy Spirit, quickly followed by my late husband and my other daughter with whom I now live thank God. That was God's reason for allowing what happened to Anne and she will be given many crowns in Heaven when she gets there. In the meantime she is looking forward to her birthday party on Thursday please God, planned for her by the brilliant carers who look after her with much love in her lively residential home.

Can you explain why its wrong to promote a society with better vision and better eyesight? Can you explain why its wrong for a person to remain childfree because they dont want to pass their genetic conditions to their kid? eugenics doesnt automatically mean state sanctioned genocide. Poverty is so hard to survive. My family suffered from extreme poverty as well. There was alcoholism and sex abuse inflicted on the young ladies. It’s just sickening the trauma that gets inflicted on the kids. The best thing I found to help my family and myself was to read ‘Healing your ancestral Karma’ by Dr. Steven Farmer and follow the exercises in the book. It’s made all the difference in me and my immediate family’s ability to STOP passing along the dysfunctional behavior to the next generation.

Don't feel bad. Surviving wealth and an education is just as bad or worse. Look at people like teddy Roosevelt, and others like him,who thought they were of a racial superiority, and thought they were better than other whites, blacks, Asians, etc. Darwin, Thoreau, Muir, Huxley ,hg wells, Churchill, whigs, America's first families, so called educated people from wealthy families. Not only in America but other countries for the last 500 years. Wealth and education do not make a person better, more well mannered, caring, more considerate, more intelligent, or a better person. As Thomas Sowell said, the road to hell is paved with ivy league degrees. The Kennedys. Roosevelts, Clinton's bushes, first families of America and Europe are trainwrecks of human beings. Their families are full of drug addicts, pedophiles, mentally and physically handicapped people, and have as many or more problems that regular people have. Those with Wealth and education are just better at hiding their problems and lying about. The hypocrisy knows no bounds with the so called uppercrust people. Most of these elite types you definitely wouldn't want around your children loved ones, or even your mongruel dog.

I felt getting an amniocentesis was just that- eugenics. I refused. I don’t know, some will say I was wrong. I was under 35, 31 and then 34 with my pregnancies because as a nurse I knew/know genetic abnormalities often happen more often after 35. I am a nurse with a masters in special exceptional Ed, all exceptionalities. It felt wrong, knowing all of the adults and children with Down’s syndrome to other mental and physical handicaps that I had worked for and how they all had their own wonderful strengths and love. My kids are both “normal” as defined by social norms. Actually both are considered “gifted”. However, that being said, don’t all of us have gifts to share? Especially if you have educational professionals to work with each specific needs person to assist in finding their strengths and weaknesses? Other professionals in fields like physical and other therapy to strengthen any weaknesses? I’ve seen amazing things. Just voicing my thoughts.

I'm white. Come from divorced parents. Left in Florida with my Dad and one older brother as Mother took my two older sisters and moved 1800 mile's away. My Dad, whom had worked for G.M., rubbed elbows with NASCAR drivers and the like but soon after my Mother had left him for another man and saddled with two very young children and one which was sick often and he began to drink. He drank to the point that he lost his job, we had to move into a trailer park surrounded by orange groves and filled with huge hairy spiders and rough talking ppl that went barefoot almost all year around. I remember sleeping on pallets on the floor as there were no beds or much furniture at all and those big hairy spiders coming out to terrify me. No running water. We were thrust into poverty. We were considered as poor white trash. It was 1971. I was only three but I have lots of memories of then. I got sick and had to be admitted into a hospital. I remember crying and crying because I had no one there with me. Dad just sort of dumped me. My Mom was almost 2000 miles away. They hurt me but thier weren't any scars and I didn't have a good grasp on enough words to tell my Dad. I was afraid too, very afraid to tell anyone anything even if I could've. I think they also scarred me mentally and emotionally so bad that I'd lost some of my ability to speak too. I'm in my fifty's and I never had children. I went to an ob-gyn for awhile to see why I couldn't get pregnant. Wed done the Basel temperature charts, etc but nothing so the doctor did an exploratory surgery to see what could be wrong....he found so much scar tissue that it had fused my bowls to my female organs among other things. Asked me if I'd had my tubes tide and then reversed and I hadn't but I don't think he quite believed me. Soon he'd left the area and I still didn't know why I couldn't have babies and felt it was better just to leave it alone. I know within my heart, my soul that I was sterilized there in Florida. We were dirty, poor...and they called us white trailer trash and felt they had the right to not allow me to have children. I absolutely hate what they did and have robbed from me. They murdered every child I was gonna have. When I was younger my wish was to marry and have 6 children. I'd always wanted a half dozen kids. That seemed to be the magic number if children on both sides of my family. My mom and dad both had 8 siblings each. They all had huge family's. My sister's had 5 and 2. But 6 was the magic number. I have tons of cousins that have had six children each.... ....I'm childless. I'll never have grandchildren. They robbed me. They murdered my future babies. They ruined my dreams, I wished they would have just killed me completely instead of letting me live out my life as only a partial human being!!!

I am so sorry to hear of what you went through, when you were just a baby yourself, and probably ever since. I wonder how the rest of your life has been. I can't help but feel kind of angry at your mom for abandoning you, at your dad for not taking better care of his children, and at the entity or institution which took that right from you, if that's what did happen... Please realize that you are not merely a partial human being though. I know that as women from older generations, we were raised to think our natural destiny was in getting married and having babies. That mindset began to change with the women's movement. And now it seems normalized if a woman chooses not to have children. I think that is fine, too. I actually really respect a woman who accurately determines if she really wants kids or not, and proceeds responsibly. I always wanted two, but I had one, which I'm grateful for, but I didn't want to be a single mom again (I was widowed quite young). It must be especially hard for someone like you who wanted to have children most of all in life. Please accept my condolences. Have you ever considered fostering a baby or a child? I think there is always a need for loving foster parents...

It confuses me that after creating a pretty good document a rather drastic error is committed by saying that the eugenic movement was inspired and imported from Germany (when even the storyline itself suggests clearly) that it was the other way around. Also, what I have learned about Eugenics doesn’t correspond with the timelines here used and the shocking death statistics and procedures practised in mental institutions have been left untouched. Laura Hildenbrand in her book ‘Unbroken’ has been clearer about it. THis feels very soft and a ‘ not to say too much version’ of these times.

This all goes in line with how we have mental institutions, formerly sanitariums, aka poor houses, even old folks homes. The treatment of those in mental institutions to this day is no better than it was. The rights of those individuals is left at the door once they enter. They are at the mercy of the courts and doctors which force harmful medications and treatments on these individuals, including electro shock therapy, aka electro convulsive therapy. Back when these places were sanatoriums, they also housed the poor. Children would be trapped and molested by the criminally insane. The stories are plentiful just do some research. The information on all this would blow your mind. It's a tragedy to know we in the US were the true Nazis, and that we helped to give Hitler his cause. The “left” and “right” back then were different than they are now. The Republican Party initially formed and advocated for the abolition of slavery. Most blacks people voted for the Republicans who nominally represented their interests occasionally after the Civil War. However, during the Civil Rights era in the 1960s, the various Civil Rights Acts we’re passed by Democrats like Kennedy and LBJ in an effort to combat segregation and discrimination in the workforce and public places like restaurants. This caused black voters to become democrats and switch party allegiance. This also alienated many southern Democrats. When Nixon later ran for president, he used the Southern Strategy where he called for law and order, a euphemism for oppressing blacks, hippies and other progressives. This strategy worked and ever since then, the south votes republican. So the terms left and right during the era of eugenics is pretty much meaningless since the parties flip flopped in regards to race relations in the 1960s. The right of today would’ve voted Democrat in the past and the left of today probably would’ve supported the right in some issues before the civil rights era.

Helen Keller was upper middle class. From an educated family. Definitely not poor. The poverty class was the main target of eugenics in America.

I don't believe that "perfect"baby is not a guarantee of a "perfect"child and a "perfect" is not a guarantee of a "perfect" adult. by the way I put perfect in quotations because there's no such thing as perfect. And really for that matter there's no such thing as normal at least not nowadays.

It is pretty gut wrenching learning about the poor treatment to fellow humans that has happened throughout history, but this current bashing of the structure of western culture and Americas history (by some) IMO is NOT justified either. Living in a 2022 American society with all of the comforts of modern day technology, with a full stomach and a soda, or power drink the size of Texas, with all of your freedoms that so many great individuals had to die for, and then virtue signaling about how you would have been so different back in 1650, 1765, or 1892 is just idiotic, and this current thing of almost no structure, with the "no bail" laws, and the crime and homelessness in so many big cities, is not the answer either. There is a happy medium, and good hard working Americans should be able to take their kids to a park without having to wonder if some homeless guy, or gal is going to snap or not. When I was growing up in the 70s and 80s there seemed to be a shared pride of just being an American, and that didn't matter what color you were!

@Boxcarcifer I feel very sad that you support eugenics. Murderers make the *choice* to kill; they aren't "victims of bad genes".

@Boxcarcifer Genocide no one should have the power to decide what type of human gets to live or die. What if these so called gen humans turn evil and kill? Some known murders were from loving rich and influential families. U can't control an entitled no it all spoilt brat who got pissed off when they didnt get their way so lashed out and murdered. What happens then? Do we blame YOU

@@djm5687 that's actually been proven false with recent genetic studies. Attitudes and nature are inherited from your parents, even things like religious affiliation and music tastes. So yes, you can reasonably predict how people's offspring will be.

I'm white and native and I was a little unkept uncared for little girl. Who ended up a ward of the state. They lied to me about my IQ too. The constant bullying and being beaten both at school and at home drove me quit school for a couple years and isolate. Before I left the home the state placed me in, a social ''םלקר tried to talk me into getting a IUD. I was educated, I knew these IUDs could cause problems.
