(Ya giiiiirl Shauna!) These videos are excellent, Jackie! They are 1000% more concise than other "Day in the Life" vids, and they're still super helpful! Beautiful editing btw. Your room looks adorable.

Helpful info regarding being assigned to various schools. I thought we would only be assigned to 1

Congratulations to your third video. If I wouldn't have seen the other two beforehand I might have thought that you did this for a longe time. As for me I would like to see more about the living in this rural area^^ -What can you do at daytime or at night(evening). - Restaurants, local fast food, Pub's and food related - what cultural opportunities are available there (museums, galleries, liberties, special cultural events) - and last but not least since you have a car and a beautiful nature surrounding you (I love the mountains and all the trees) you could show us some villages, walk up the mountains, show us more of the great view, walk down trails, shrine's for example or other sight's.. Well I'm sorry for my long post filled with things most people might find boring written in a not so good English;) Anyways good luck for your future and the further development of this channel.

How'd you find the rural placement?
@ashleeldixon6 жыл бұрын
@@Sev826 i loved the nature and my students. my apartment was great and i enjoyed the peace and quiet. but it was challenging as far as making friends, being involved in the JET community, and, really, basic every day conveniences.
@Sev8266 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for replying. What kind of placement were you hoping for? How many years did you do?
@ashleeldixon6 жыл бұрын
@@Sev826 i was hoping for a suburban placement in osaka, because i studied abroad at kansai gaidai. i ended up in extremely rural hyogo and was only able to last a year due to the sheer inconvenience. but it was a good experience!

Wow, geographically it is a really nice place - huge mountains with forests - really looks amazing. Since you are not there any more anyways, so it is not a "security issue" may I ask which region this was in Japan?

There seems to be a lot of English teaching go on but not much English spreading among the population?

Out of curiosity, were you given the use of the car from the "school district" or did they expect you to buy/rent it?
@UnderwaterClouds6 жыл бұрын
It's different from place to place, but most places that require a car will also require you to buy/rent it on your own (though normally there's a small stipend to help)
