Complaining about noisy teenagers when you just wanted to chill alone in nature, you've definitely captured the Finnish mindset! Beautiful video.

Watching this makes me appreciate my country's nature more, thanks! We so easily take some things for granted, like clean forests! Please make more videos like this, Finland has a lot of national parks and nature trails to visit.

@@pojuantsalo3475 Trust me, no. I went to Finland two weeks ago. The clean air, the forests, the easy access to them, the fact how well-kept everything is (no garbage in sight), all the birds living unbothered, the mushrooms, the berries and most importanly - the silence. 20-30 minutes by bus from Turku city center to get to amazing hiking trails with great views. I think the same can be said about any other city. I live in Poland, in area where there are still some forests left compared to many other areas of the country. I cannot get there easily by public transport - I would need a car and drive for an hour. Not so many mushrooms or berries, if there are - other people got to them earlier probably :) Poorly marked hiking trails, if any, you can get lost easily if you don't know the area. No bird watching towers because biodiversity here is slowly dying and also, nobody cares. And a lot of people treat the forest as their dumpster so it's not uncommon to see some old furniture thrown out there by someone or simply bags of everyday trash everywhere. And that's when you actually have a forest, because so many of them were cut out in the last decade. I spent half of my childhood in the countryside - all the forests I roamed as a kid exist now only in my memory because they were turned into concrete and retail shops. Many countries had magnificent nature and destroyed it. You Finns respect it incomparably more than other nations and - at least in my opinion - you can be proud of it.

Beautiful video, thank you! Enjoyed the music as well. Next time you could venture deeper into the Nuuksio Park and visit Haukkalampi and walk one of the routes there. Many places there where you can light a fire and heat up sausages.

especially during summer when the marked routes west from the road on haukkalampi side are swamped. i always prefer suolikas pöksynhaara ruuhinlampi area, but there a compass and a map are needed.

Thank you of your video. It's always a pleasure than someone enjoy of Finnish summer's nature. But there's still time to pick cranberries even from Nuuksio, if you're interested of berries.

You need more than one log to get fire going. Two logs next to each other is basically the minimum. Nuuksio is great to get off the city easily but there's much more to see in Finland. :)

👩🏻‍🌾🏞️🌅🫐 Hi, Chico! You're on familiar ground to me! From 1955 until around 1988, my family, dad, mom, and four, then five kids, spent every summer in Noux (the Swedish name) just south of the area where you now are. Noux was a true wilderness then. There was no National Park. Along the Noux Long Lake road there were a few summer homes, but as soon as you left the road, nothing but woods, lakes and ridge after ridge forged by the latest Ice Age in a south-north direction. I'm guessing that the ridges were why the area had and luckily has not been developed. The area is quite large and the National Park only covers part of it. I guess it's okay that there are walks instead of narrow, natural paths, signs and all the rest, but to visit the Park today is nothing like wandering by oneself wherever one wanted, picking wild strawberries, lingon berries, bill berries, raspberries and mushrooms of many kinds, to go swimming in our nearby small but deep lake called Hakkjärvi. We followed the nesting of songbirds, gathered flowers like wild daisies bluebells, clover, lilies of the valley, and grasses into vases. As a schoolgirl, I knew 120 plants and wild flowers that I had to collect, examine and press into a 'herbarium', labelled in Latin and Swedish. In the autumn at school, you had a test to pass in botany class. I knew the meadows, brooks, woods and ridges like the back of my hand. We played outdoors all day, rain or shine, and took the foot path to the lake sometimes several times a day. Mushroom season was the high point of August. At the time, I knew close to a hundred edible and non-edible, even poisonous types of mushrooms. Our mother was an expert in preparing different kinds of mushroom dishes and preserved, mixed mushrooms, not only of the few kinds of the commercial, store-bought mushrooms that are available today. I apologize for making this comment way too long. But I couldn't resist. I hope that this description gave you an idea of what the 'real' Noux was and hopefully still is. Thanks to the 'allemansrätten' (everyman's right) that we have in common with Sweden and the other Nordic countries, I believe, you're free to wander anywhere you like, as you probably already know, picking those berries and mushrooms or just roam. 🏞️🏃‍♂️🏊‍♂️🚣‍♂️🌲🌼🌲🍄🦊

Nuuksio is a bit like a city park, but if you don't have time for anything better then its better than nothing. They do have bike paths there with even gravel parts, ignorant people with they dogs loose and people stuffing hollow trees/stumps full of trash(got more angry than happy when I visited that place, city people are really ignorant to nature so.. selfish fcks). For your shoes, yes those have probably 0 grip, 0 dampening, 0 protection for twisting your ankle so 10 euro running shoes would probably be better or barefoot. Keep exploring that place it has a few hidden gems in it like its not called a National Park for fun and has some rare types of nature, also a great place to forage mushrooms in but there are others too :D Just remember to ignore the city people and its almost like being in a real forest.
