Well done Paul and great video. Like you I have been battling illness(leukaemia) and been in some dark places this year. Chemotherapy has put me in remission and I am back fishing again. At our age, and after a diagnosis we consider our mortality more. It will always be in the back of our minds but we must make the most of everyday. Like you I feel the future is becoming brighter. Hi Dave thanks for the great message although I wish you and I were not in the cancer club but sometimes we don’t get to choose our paths in life. The stature of each of us is defined by how we deal with these issues and glad you are past the dark and on the brighter road. I find fishing, friends and great people like you out there in internet land do help with the nagging thoughts that I have from time to time. Hi chap and good to hear you are back out on the beach although saddened to hear your cancer prognosis. I have come to only recently understand how life in all its little ways brings great daily joy and it has taken the threat of my time being shortened to fully appreciate it. I've got a whole freezer full of baits, ranging from squid ,anchovy, peelers, hermit crab, frozen black lugworm, bluey and my go to bait Sandeels. You be good to yourself. Big love from Oxfordshire. Hi Kevin yep need to trade my alarm in 😂😂 have been experimenting with camera shots to try and make the vids more interesting and immersive. Being positive has helped me mentally deal with all the rubbish and the consultant has said it hugely affects recovery and beating the illness. Am still surprised I beat the others. Glad you all caught, I was out early Saturday morning n it was slow going. But managed 2 stonking flounder. Onecat 30cm n one at 32cm but they was 2n half inch thick. Another great vlog with plenty of banter! Interesting to see you using old bait. I went to Bridlington last week and used old slappers that had gone rock hard but eventually they softened on the hook I caught 21 flounders and 2 whiting none big but kept busy and enjoyed the day out. Hi mate agree with you about bait but doesn’t have to be expensive i picked up a tray of 8/10 sardines for 1.23 in Morrisons they also got a deal on where you pick up box of razors etc 3 for a tenner and all i buy from my tackle shop is herring £3 per pack and dirty squid witch will last me 2 sessions as i use half a packet.if i do buy worm it’s always rag worm as you get more for your money.maybe worth a look in your local Tesco or Morrisons at the fish counter or section you be surprised what you can pick up just for couple of quid

Hi Richard thanks for the advice and have a Morrisons near me and will pay a visit as fishing now really expensive with journey costs then food for me and bait which is ridiculous 6 quid for black lug. Hi Colin trying to make the camera shots a wee bit more creative and immersive and yep needed to cross my fingers using the go pro clamp 😂 rods are Penn mag 4s with adjustable reel seats and really happy with them, a delight to cast and have definitely added another 30 yards to cast without any extra power.
