Good morning Paul, Well well new year new start mate. This is your turning point now you will beat the guys every time i feel 😊👍 As they say right time right plaice my friend 😂 3 Health & Safety rods between myself and you we must own part of the company now. I see Vercelli have brought out some new models which also look cool but the Hammer in my opinion is a very nice rod. I use LC fixed spool reels on my rods as i only have ABU rockets for fixed spools and i feel the level wind hinders the distance because it can’t feed off quick enough. I would like to try a SLOSH with the rods as they are brilliant reels. But i am now fully loaded on my fixed spools with 79lb J Braid so no need for a shock leader which definitely helps with the weed issue on the leader knot. Hi Nigel know exactly what you mean about Vercelli and Ross persuaded me to get them and now have three hammers and another Vercelli that is a light gray. So yep shares in Vercelli 😂 still cannot quite believe it but was in the right frame of mind, focussed on fishing and was getting the distance to where fish were so let’s hope this continues and I stay in the zone. Am having another go this weekend with Ross and another fellow from further afield will probably fish the same beach and tide and weather looking perfect digging bait Friday so fingers crossed take care 👍👍🎣🎣🎣🎣

What a lovely Plaice there mate & I’d have kept all those Whiting as well. I’ve been told by a friend that the area you are fishing is a very underrated mark & on its day can throw up some really decent fish. Enjoyed that, it was a good session. I always find fishing a mind game, three or four bad sessions on the trot and you think you’re hopeless almost down about the whole bloody thing, then in the next second you whack out a beautiful fish and your world turns around. Fishing is not an easy game.

Hi Eddie yes there is a fixed charge for two rods and then cost on top per extra rods. Sometimes they collect money and sometimes not I think from memory approx a fiver. East arm does not open till eight. I and a couple of others are fishing the Burrells tomorrow as good tide. You are welcome to join us and aim to be there for 7.00am take care Paul
