A day in Haflong | Jatinga village | Ethnic village | Day -2 | Part -1

Jatinga - a village on a ridge, is located in Dima Hasao district, Assam State in India. It is 330 kilometres south of Guwahati The village is inhabited by about 2,500 Khasi-Pnar people and a few Assamese.
Bird Death - ডিমা হাচাও জিলাৰ বহুতো গাওঁৰ ভিতৰত, জাতিঙ্গা হৈছে ইয়াত সংঘটিত এক বিশেষ বৈশিষ্ট্যৰ বাবে জনাজাত এখন গাওঁ যি হৈছে চৰাইৰ আত্মহত্যা। প্ৰতি বছৰে বাৰিষা মাহৰ শেষত কুঁৱলী আৰু ডাৱৰীয়া বতৰৰ বাবে এই ঠাইত বৃহৎ সংখ্যক চৰাই মৃত অৱস্থাত পোৱা যায়। এই ঘটনাটো গাওঁখনৰ এক স্বকীয় বৈশিষ্ট্য হোৱাৰ বাবে ই মানুহৰ মাজত জনপ্ৰিয় কৰি তুলিছে
Ethnic village - The Ethnic village near Jatinga is a latest tourist attraction that has come up in Haflong. In this village one will get to see the blend of different cultures and traditions which make one’s trip to this place very interesting. You will also find the traditional dorms and houses belonging to several tribal groups of Dima Hasao district. This place reflects the day to day lifestyle of the people living here and the traditions they follow. This village is being maintained by the Department of Forestry and is constructed under Rashtriya Sama Vikash Yojana. The people here live in harmony with one another and carry on simple farming works for their livelihood. Government has extended their hands to develop the lives of these deprived classes and we must also do the same by paying a visit to this village on our tour to Dima Hasao.
