For folks curious about how they're doing. They live in Austin, TX. Grace is a governance lead at IBM. Ryosuke is a marketing strategist at a company called The Personal Wealth Coach. According to his bio on the company website they have two children now. Looks like they did pretty well for themselves. (Note: This is information Grace and Ryosuke chose to share themselves on public websites. That's why I think it's ok to share here.)

I cant believe you're breaking up with me like this. I thought we were happy. I'm going to miss you a lot. Could you tell me why? Is it me? If it was me, I'll change. Don't leave me, but if you must then so be it. You know what they say, if you love something let it go. I'll always have a place in my heart for you. G and R - have a wonderful "next phase of life". Your channel is only one of a handful that I follow and it was your sincere and fresh insight on all your topics that kept me engaged. I really wanted to hear your opinion. The first video I remember finding (via Rachel & Jun) was "Blueberry Hunting". It is sad to see you two go, especially because it hinges on your own criteria regarding offspring appearing on screen. Darn kids. It does sound like you are both refocusing back on more "conventional" work which in itself is an adventure. Good Luck!

That ending was so bittersweet... watching you both go through different stages of life. Your more recent video being titled 'The End' like the closing of a beloved story. I was on the verge of tears. I completely understand your reasons. It's just so hard knowing I won't come home to another video, another day in the life of Grace and Ryosuke. Even still, thank you for sharing your lives with us all these years. I wish you both the best for the future!! xxx

This is so weird rewatching this after such a long time. I found you guys on YT because I was searching for people telling me more about Japan. And got hooked. Your content was amazing, funny, informative. It became part of my routine. And I learnt a lot (which really helped me when I actually WAS in Japan). And then you shut down. Which I totally respect and understand. But I miss you guys. Hope you are doing fine!

I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the videos and how much they mean to me. You will always remain one of my favorite channels. With much love, someone, from somewhere on earth.

I started watching your channel because I had to visit Tokyo last year for work and was clueless what to expect as a foreigner. I really enjoyed your videos and loved your honesty and down to earth style. The love between you two have also been so inspiring for me. Thank you for teaching me one last thing through your final video - about the love and sacrifices of parents and about sticking with your values even if it meant giving up on something precious to you right now.. It's not easy I believe and I respect you for that. I wish you both happiness and all the best and I look forward to your return in the future/ or perhaps to catch snippets of you in your friends' vlogs! I'll miss you plenty! ;')

It's really sad to see titles as last day and the end, but i totally understand you guys, thanks for sharing Japan with all of us, thanks for sharing your lives with us making we laugh. Ryosuke, I gotta tell you you are the funniest Japanese guy that i know (I even shown you videos to my Japanese friends here in Brazil, because from outside Japan we have this idea that people from Japan are very serious and i thought that my friends here were the exception but I'm glad to see that to see that this was not the truth at all) every video from you guys that i see you make me laugh with something and I really appreciate that! It's a pleasure to be around people that make you day better and you guys did it to me from you videos and your books (Grace your drawings are the best), I want to wish you guys the good luck, success in all your ventures, and also say that i you miss your videos!. One more thing in the video that you shared candies with Graces friend I remember that Ryosuke wanted beer so if you guys want just hit me up and I will send some from Brazil to you! ps. Sorry for my english, as you guys know it's kinda hard to express yourself in another language.

Grace and Ryosuke, my daughter and I have been watching you guys for a couple of years now. I can't thank you both enough for letting us into your lives. My daughter adores Ryosuke's poop hats 🤗. I'm not sure how we found you guys, but we did... hmmm... I'm much older than you two, so I guess I can see this from another perspective. But you two are so young, and you have so much life, love, and memories to make. Being in the public eye in any capacity can be very taxing. And that's just to those, who going in knew this. I could only imagine the burden and cost it'd take to those outside that understanding. Don't get me wrong, I follow a few family vloggers. And while I enjoy watching them, I can also see that it comes at a price. I don't know if you've ever watched Emmymadeinjapan, while she continues to do videos, from the moment she became pregnant, she made it clear that it was NOT about her children. Until they could comprehend, they would remain out of sight. And with the exception of a couple times, where u sorta see them (they are much older now). She's lived up to that. And I commend her and the two of you! I know it's not easy, and it won't be easy... but you guys are no different than us. You are people, and you deserve to live your lives in privacy and peace. And let's be real, YT often anymore seems to be a place for many to be hypercritical of everyone's actions. And personally, just cuz u choose (yes, people! It's a choice on their part) to share ur life. Doesn't mean it gives us the right to judge everything they do. I'm prob gonna run outta room. But we will miss you. Anyone can see that you two have so much luv to give, I just know that you guys will make AMAZING parents!!! Maybe one day you will return, but if not. That's fine too! It's hard, I feel like you've become family, and I hope someway I can make sure u guys are alright. Heck, ur more than welcome to follow me on instagram. I don't really post. Lol... but anyway... much luv and happiness from my family to (the beginning of) yours 😘

Coming back to this makes me realise how much I miss it. I sincerely hope you will have a great future ahead of you! Thank you for the lovely memories. I'll pray for you (even though some may find it sounds a little creepy)

I'm going to miss these SO much!!! Thank you for all youve shared with us. I wanted to go to Japan in college, but I got married and my husband didn't want to. I've been living through you!!!

I know you guys have already made your decision but wouldn't it be more practical to stop when you have another job or when you have children, just so you can have the extra money. As a side effect I would get to watch more videos

Crap, I miss you guys! Hope all is well with you both. Would love an update, but as you said you were done and I believe were eluding to the fact that if you were ever have children you would not film them. But, wow just showing us Japan life and your sweet goofiness - take care and if you ever feel like uploading a video you know your KZbin "family" would love it. Bye - :)

It's remarkable how attached I've become to you two through this medium, even though I don't know you in real life. I'm a fairly recent subscriber, and I've really enjoyed learning about your cross-cultural marriage, life in Japan, and how different it sometimes is from my stereotypes of it. I've been deeply touched by your caring for each other. And I will certainly miss you. But I deeply admire your reason for stopping vlogging at this point in your lives. May you be blessed with a healthy and happy family, and a long and happy life!

I don't usually comment but I cried at work today when I thought of not seeing anymore of your videos. I've been teaching myself Japanese this year and it was neat to learn from someone from my own country (who also shares a love of art!) It's nice to see such a wonderful couple who love life and one another the way you do. I love you guys too and though this and the announcement videos made me sad I will continue to watch your old videos to learn from and remember you. Thank you for all you shared. Hope to see you sometime in the future! ありがとうございます!
