My kids started out as being fostered by me and my husband but are now adopted by us and I constantly tell them they are the best part of my life, the best thing that ever happened to me. They were definitely God send. We tried for a decade to get pregnant and I never thought this was how I would become a mom but from the day they moved in I've known we were meant to be family and find each other.

I am a transracial adoptee! I don't really have the happiest story even though my parents are great. I don't feel close to them. Probably due to the cultural differences. But i'm so incredibly grateful for what they've done. I could never adopt myself. But I think it's incredible that people do.

I am always concerned that my kids will feel alienated from me when they grow up so I am forever learning and evolving

Girl I'm doing the whole Bible in 90 days and I'm in Jeremiah. It's been INTENSE. also I've been listening to the Really Very Crunchy podcast as they camp their way to the Wellness Collective and I wanted to comment "please say hi to Megan Fox Unlocked and make all my crossover dreams come true 😄" also love to see so many beautiful, feminine, modestly dressed women altogether! I’m not really someone who desires “ladies events” or “ladies trips” but that event looks like something I would enjoy! We suddenly found ourselves with my husband having a major job change which is also included a move. I’m in the process of packing up my home that we didn’t want to move from. But God has been so faithful and we are in love with the home we are moving too, even though a move wasn’t in our plans. I’m looking forward to our new home feeling like home again. ❤

Aww Sally Clarkson is a lovely woman. I love her books. I subscribe to Emily, the Crunchy Mom's podcast with her husband Jason. She's hilarious and sweet. The sweaters: The one white big, buttoned sweater is my least favorite as well as is the one after the cable knit one (which that one I love) - because my grandmas wore similar ones when they were in their 80s (back in the late 1990s), but that's me (they were not nice ladies or maybe I'd like those).

I have a fashion rule for myself, I won’t pair a dark color shirt under a light color sweater or blazer. I also won’t buy anything made with acrylic. It’s basically plastic. Starts off feeling all soft and cozy but quickly looks shabby after a few washes especially if you use warm water or a dryer as it’s basically melting the plastic. I will thrift a wool sweater off of Poshmark instead. I wear a satin button down underneath and then it does not itch my skin.
