A day in my life as a special needs Mom

Sunday September 13, 2015 Having no nursing on Sundays means a very busy day for this special needs Mother.
Daniels day from start to finish requires alot of medical intervention and just completely tending to him in every way. People don't often understand how completely consuming it is, but he needs me 100% of the time. So I tried to capture a little bit of what goes on, and of course every day is different.
I was gifted with a miracle, and a visit from some deer too. Feeling 100% better and much more like myself, I found myself giggling and singing all day Sunday. I know people have been concerned, and I want you to know that I really do feel better.
This is a journey. Life with a special needs child in your care is quite different than life with a completely normal independent non medically fragile child. It is, however, a very beautiful life.

About my channel.......
My middle son, Daniel John Hasselberger was born on November 22, 1997, with a rare brain deformity called Polymicrogyria. The deformity happened due to a virus called CMV, or cytomegalovirus. He has seizures, respiratory problems, can only eat by g tube, is in a wheelchair, can not speak, and has had countless surgeries and hospitalizations over his 17 years. We are a family of 5 from Sandy Hook, CT and this is our journey.
Every day is full of new things that we don’t expect. I am Julie, Daniel’s Mom. I left my full time career as an HR Director 11 years ago because Daniel needed me. The struggle, the sacrifices, the sibling love, and miracle after miracle.
Why did I create this channel? For support, to help other families dealing with the same diagnosis, to help me cope with depression and isolation, etc.

Henry is the most craziest, cutest most energetic dog I've ever seen on KZbin. I would LOVE to see him in person but I can't because I don't live in Connecticut, I live in Las Vegas, but when Im older I can fly out there and see the most cutest dog on KZbin, Henry. Btw my dog is just like Henry when he his hyper but my dog only does that when he has a bath.

I loved this video. I don't know why but in my vlogs I love watching grocery store hauls and people doing their housekeeping like making up Daniel's nice fresh bed. Julie is a rock star of a mother and Daniel looked so snug and cozy after all her hard work, so clean and comfy. To see this woman in action, I am in awe. She is the heartbeat of that home💕

I watch you, Kat, Sylvia and sweet Juliana in my hometown of Baltimore, a 13 year old girl battling cancer for the fifth time. So there aren't too many hauls but I am partial to them. I would never go snooping in someone's pantry, but for example one time you made a Halloween care package for Sarah which my inner child adored🍬🍫 I wish you could get a nurse back on Sundays, I hope you are having a wonderful day, ((((hug)))) and now I'm off to watch Theo the thief and do some all around catching up on vlogs I didn't get a chance to watch last night.

I know your day is busy. I was taking care of both my disabled sons until about two years ago when my second son moved my oldest with him and has been taking care of him since. I worry about my youngest as I have Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis, degenerate spine disease plus a few other health issues. My daughter said she would take care of him if I can no longer do so but she has her own life. In fact she's starting med school in the fall and is moving in with her long time boyfriend in July.

***** I forgot! Lol! He's already awesome with Daniel. Shame he can't do both. I'll pick therapy with Daniel for him any day! But if you need to run some of his energy off, a few obstacles for him to jump in the garden may calm him down when he's going crazy. Doesn't have to be an official thing.

I think its guest you take care of your son my dad died in 1999 and my mom in 2005 moved in with my sister.in December 2014 my sister put me in a group home.

My gum bleed from treatment that was done when I was younger but it caused an issue with my gums and the school dentist said to my parents to use a teething gel! Now you never believe it after years later we found out that it was my Wisdoms and of cause they removed them under Local
