I like that your neighbors ask where you’re going. It’s like they consider you family. It reminds me of letting someone know where you are, so they can look out for you. 😁

Thank you so much! You can definitely do it! I created a video on this channel that walks you through the steps I took and I provide resources in the description box. It’s a labor of love but once the book is here it is here to stay! 📚✨

How do you take care of your hair in Bali? Do you get it done there?
@crystaltharrell3 жыл бұрын
I do! I found a girl who takes good care of my hair with braids. I didn’t bring the products I needed but now I know. I’ve kept my hair in braids since being here

Sending you love and peace of mind where you are. I know it isn’t an easy time but there is so much to learn from what is happening around us ✨💫 If you need clarity and a feeling of safety then Bali is definitely the place! 💗 It’s a beautiful bubble and the safest place for female travelers in the world. Best of luck to you!

I’ll be traveling to Bali in January 2022 for a solo trip, kind of nervous, but I’m booked and will be taking off at the end of the month. If you’re still there I would love to connect.

Congratulations!! Bali is amazing and full of wonderful surprises ✨💗 I came back to the states to finish a few things but I will definitely be back! You will have no problem connecting with people there, trust me. I came alone knowing no one and left with life-long friendships and a beautiful partner whom I love dearly.

Bali runs in tourism, at least they did before the pandemic so most people speak English. I am! They’re online this semester

I quit using make up in Bali and never went back even after returning to home country. One thing I did was get my eyeliner tattooed. Easy way not having to put make up on.
@crystaltharrell2 жыл бұрын
Same! It’s so much easier to just take care of my skin so I don’t have to wear makeup. It was too hot in Bali to wear makeup for sure 😅

Lol i can feel you when you say "mind your bussiness" but yea balinese people is trying to act up infront of western people especially when they around their friend, they feel like the man when they can greet western people, also they are very kind thats why, but not annoying, i used to greet my neighbor here in bali everyday but not in trying to mind other people bussiness way, i greet them and ask them where are they going because i'm trying to show that i care.

Lol I figured that’s why they ask. It isn’t annoying to me, just different. This is my first experiencing the culture so I am learning everyday 🥰

Weird question but do they treat black people any different? They seem sweet I’m just scared to go because of that lolll
@crystaltharrell3 жыл бұрын
It isn’t a weird question at all. I wondered the same thing before moving to Bali and once I got there I realized that racism and discrimination wasn’t universal. I even asked one of my Balinese friends what they thought about Black people and he looked at me and said, “We don’t care. Look at my skin. We are the same.” That really put a lot of things into perspective. I never felt like I was being treated differently in Bali because of my skin or race. I was actually celebrated there because of those characteristics. Everyone wanted to know where I was from lol I actually felt safer there than I had during my entire life in America. Trust me, the Balinese respect you and your culture if you do the same for them.
