For your wisdom tooth. Take a cotton swab with clove essential oil and rub it on the gum area. This acts as a natural numming agent and helps with the swelling, I made sure to floss the area bc food might be stuck under the gum and causing inflation. I would also garggle with warm salt water a few times a day. That should help with the pain and swelling while you are looking for a dentist!

Also Kayla, if you don't have it already, get a waterpick too to help flush out foods in your mouth or if it sits on the pocket of your incision. You can adjust the pressure too so it sprays it in your mouth gently as and addition to flossing or alternative :)

I wouldn't think the tooth extraction would affect your supply, but you have to keep up with your food intake, which is difficult after that type of surgery. As a mom of 2 currently breastfeeding, I was told by my ob that your body remembers from the first experience.I had to work on my supply the first time with pumping regularly, whereas the second time I didn't need to. Pumping can bring your supply back though if you feel like it's dropping. Hope everything goes well with the surgery and you recover quickly. I remember having my wisdom teeth withdrawn when I was a teenager.Can't imagine doing it awake!You guys are tough.

My dentist didn’t give me antibodies when mines was pulled. They just told me to take Tylenol after right away. Make sure you bring whatever painkillers you usually take with you on that day of the appointment. And I was awake the whole time. I asked to be put to sleep but they said there’s a waiting list for that. You will ok. They give you an follow up appointment to make sure you are ok

For your wisdom teeth, make sure you do an antiseptic mouth wash and gargle. Ie betadine gargle several times a day. Saline gargle will work too if your in a pinch.

Hey Kayla! Ill explain my widsom teeth experience. The doctor I went to was referred by my dentist dr. I was given the option to have it performed at my regular dentist or if i wanted to go under i can get referred. I went under, I think it was general anesthesia (I forgot) I fell asleep quickly. Procedure took, maybe 30 mins? I remember waking up briefly and being moved from the dentist chair to the wheelchair and then taken to a room to relax in until I woke up. I was given pills that I took once every 8 hours I believe, and I think it lasted me 4 days. I don't remember the pain during the recovery, maybe slight pain. I remember my face did swell up a lot on like the third day or so. I would just take a full week to recover. They say drinking pineapple juice helps the swelling for any surgery? Overall, it wasn't bad. My stiches clearly dissolved because I didn't even go back to get it checked lol. I got all 4 taken out, one tooth was coming out, the rest was still under my gums. AS per eating, Soft foods, soups I think I ate (most likely yes) and I ate lots of Snack Pack vanilla and chocolate pudding (SOOO GOOD). Thankfully In Ontario Canada, it was covered, so I think I must have just paid for my antibiotic pills. After a few days you are able to eat more food, just chew slowly take your time. I had a breast augmentation In dec, and the anesthesia was a lot more powerful (i woke up in the recovery room, I did not wake up as they transferred me from operating table to recovery bed), so even if you did go under for wisdom teeth, its not as powerful because its not a crazy surgery. Anyways, stay positive, it will be done before you know it, they numb you good regardless so its fine!

I took my wisdom teeth out wile I was breastfeeding, I didn’t take anything after they took it out. Here were I live they don’t put you to sleep just were they’re going to take the tooth out. And in 1 week it was over. So I recommend to look out which place they have that so they don’t need to put you don’t to sleep and always try to assure what they give to you when they sleep where they’re going to take the tooth out. Hopefully this helps🥰
