I was homeschooled for 2 years (middle school) and when I went back was testing higher than my grade level. On top of that we were better off in terms of not feeling a need to fit in or being peer pressured. I think as long as you have them socializing with kids their age in sports or church its such an amazing way to go.

Not many people realise homeschooling starts from birth but you pass that responsibility over to the system at 5/6. Homeschooling is soo good for humans as long as social needs are met 💖

As a homeschooled kid, no. Homeschooling is terrible. I resent my mother for it every day.
@rose.8889 ай бұрын
@@Summerxchild9 why was it terrible for you?
@Summerxchild99 ай бұрын
@@rose.888 not a normal childhood, teenage, or high school experience, you turn out weird trust me every homeschool friend i had was weird af. Parents can not teach their kids everything they need to know, they just can’t, I’ve seen it and it never works. Every time I hear the word homeschooling I want to throw up and every kid I know that was homeschooled feels the same. Everybody I talk to thinks I’m weird bc I was homeschooled, people won’t hire me, idk if I’m going to be able to get into college, I couldn’t even get into a public school bc I was so far behind. And it’s not just my experience. My mother is going to be put in a nursing home for what she did to me.

Couldn’t agree more with this comment! Social worker here - definitely recommend socialization groups to help promote their social emotional health! Play with other children is so beneficial for child development! You’re a great mama Kayla!
@maisie11208 ай бұрын
@@Summerxchild9 I have the complete opposite experience. Homeschooled people I’ve met have been the most well rounded intelligent people I know. I’ll be home schooling my daughter too, I don’t want her to be raised by other people with a curriculum decided by the government, sat in a classroom for 8 hrs a day. School was hell for me and many others. Many children would thrive in a homeschool environment but it’s not the priority of a lot of families

My oldest son is left handed and can do stuff easily with both hands, like most left handed people I know. But as a right handed person myself, I'm absolutely useless with my left side lol. I feel like lefties are more gifted as well. I used to work in a large 30+ doctors office and probably 20+ of them and the two nurses were left handed. Just an observation I made.
