Thank you so much! What’s your favorite part about Leadville?
@johnfayhee3567 Жыл бұрын
The thing to remember that, though Pb is the highest “city” in the country, it is the third-highest incorporated municipality. Alma is the highest incorporated municipality, followed by Montezuma. Colorado has a population cutoff point differentiating towns and cities. (I think it's 2,000.)

Yes, which is why we showed the clip from Leadville’s website that specifies “the highest city in North America.” 🙂

Great video! Also, have you checked out Alma, Colorado? Alma is at 10,522 feet in elevation, 10,158 is Leadville, so Alma is a few hundred feet higher.

Thanks for watching! We wanted to go to Alma but couldn’t fit it in!

When in Leadville, the best resturant for me is Casa Sanchez Mexican Resturant. My wife and I are on a conquest to find a Mexican restaurant that compares to our local Ohio one, El Campesinos in Wooster, but Casa Sanchez is close! Love it!

Long time watcher, first time commenter! Would love a future video on how you are funding your adventure? Are you both able to work from laptops? Or did you save up $$$ before taking off?
@MKandTJ Жыл бұрын
Hi! Thank you for watching & commenting 😃 That is an excellent question! It’s a little bit of both actually. Before we started the 50 States Tour we paid off any debt we had. It wasn’t a lot, but we knew we need that gone before we started traveling. Then, we were able to put the money we used to pay off debt towards our travels 🙂 In addition to that, we both work full time. I (MK) work totally remotely. TJ works mostly remotely, but his work takes him all over the country. So we make our travel schedule around his work schedule 😃

How could you go to leadville and not showcase the legendary silver dollar saloon? Built in 1878, doc holiday used to play the piano there & deal card. Leadville staple!!!!
@MKandTJ Жыл бұрын
🙈 totally honest, there’s SO many Leadville staples we missed! So much fun packed into one tiny place. Didn’t have time to see it all so I guess that’s just a good excuse to go back! 😄
